Introduction How to migrate a Application Set from SAP Business Planning and Consolidation version 7.5 for NetWeaver to SAP Business Planning and Consolidation version 10.0 for NetWeaver as a Environment. Before starting a Migration process, it is Important to know the terminology changes in between the versions. Mandatory System Configuration SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 7.5 with SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Version SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 10.0 with SAP NetWeaver 7.3 Version with SP02 or higher Step by Step procedure 1. Log in to SAP NetWeaver System for SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 7.5, execute a Transaction Code UJBR to take a back up of Application Set. Please select the above shown Option Buttons and Check boxes as per your requirement. Note: if want to migrate with Master data then, please take care of the Spaces, Blanks and Dots of the Dimension_ID s in SAP BO PC version 7.5 for NetWeaver, due to some technical limitation, Migration with Master data is not supported for SAP BO PC version 10 for NetWeaver. Still If would like to Migrate with the Mster data, then all special charectors should be replaced with ( _ ) in order to avoid the Migration unsuccessful. 2011 SAP AG 3
2. Log in to SAP NetWeaver System for SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 10 and execute a Transaction Code UJBR to restore the Application Set Please select the above shown Option Buttons and Check boxes as per your requirement. Note: Before executing restore a Application Set in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 10 for NetWeaver,, please make sure that the name spaces are modifiable otherwise the restore will fail. 3. After successfully restoring of an Environment, goto SE38 transaction code and execute a program: UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10 in order to Migrate the content of SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 7.5 for NetWeaver to SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 10 for NetWeaver, 2011 SAP AG 4
Note: User mapping file should be created as follows in order to map the Users in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 7.5 for NetWeaver to SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 10 for NetWeaver, User Mapping file should be saved as a.txt format (User ID s should be in UPPER case). For example, create a mapping file as follow Once all set for the Migration, then click on execute button in order to perform the migration from SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 7.5 for NetWeaver to SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 10 for NetWeaver, Successfully completion of the Migration, below configuration/settings will be Migrated from SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 7.5 for NetWeaver to SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Version 10 for NetWeaver, All the settings of Administration are migrated All the Applications are migrated and now renamed as Models All the Dimensions are migrated There are some terminology changes, some of the configuration setting will be renamed User_ID s mapped from SAP BO PC Version 7.5 for NW to SAP BO PC Version 10 for NW will be migrated successfully User_ID s in the owner and Reviewer properties of the Dimensions will be migrated Teams are migrated Task profiles are migrated with new terminology, but manual adjustments are required Member access profiles are migrated with the name of Data access profiles Journals are migrated Business rules are migrated Validations are migrated and called as Controls in SAP BO PC Version 10 for NW Data Manager elements are migrated, but the log files are not migrated Live reports are not migrated, recreation required in SAP BO PC Version 10 for NW Content Library can be migrated Custom web pages are not migrated, need to recreate in SAP BO PC Version 10 for NW Business process flows are migrated Xcelsius dashboards are not migrated 2011 SAP AG 5
Note: All EvDRE Excel Input Schedules and Reports are NOT migrated with this Migration Program, need to migrate separately with EPM Office Add-in Excel for SAP BO PC Version 10 for NW with EvDRE Migration option from Excel Client. 4.
