8 LIST OF MARKETING TACTICS Newsletters Send out a regular email that keeps your clients and potential clients up-to-date on current happenings. Include original content; links to relevant articles, recipes, and tips; the latest news for your business, including upcoming workshops/retreats; and anything else that might interest your target market. Blogs Blogs are great for sharing insights, stories, experiences, links, and pictures. Blog posts can also be shared on social media, which is a great tool to link or include on your website in order to keep your presence relevant in search engine rankings. A blog can serve as a place to share information between newsletters.
9 Facebook Create discussion groups, communicate with your clients, and share information about your latest happenings. Spend time liking and commenting on other pages and connecting with others. Twitter Twitter is a great way to share short blurbs of inspiration, daily life updates, quick thoughts, or links to recipes and related content with your community. Instagram Another visual, photos-only platform, Instagram is a great place for sharing a behind the scenes look at your daily life for your followers. It s very popular in the food/cooking community.
10 Pinterest Pinterest is a great place to tell a story with visuals. Pin other people s photos, follow boards, and create your own. This is a great platform for referral traffic to your site, particularly if your target audience is predominately female. Workshops Either in person or online, workshops are a great way to sample your work to a group of people at a more affordable rate. You can partner with other businesses and practitioners or collect email addresses for your newsletter. Referrals Health Histories are a great way to get referrals. Do as many Health Histories as you can. You can partner with other organizations or practitioners to establish a referral base. Don t forget to collect testimonials.
11 Networking The most important part of networking is being present. Attend events and participate in your community. Just by being an example and sharing what you do, you will be able to network your services. Set a number of events you would like to attend this month, practice speaking about what you do, bring your business cards, and remember to collect emails for your newsletter.
