SCOPE OF WORK Replacement Flooring in Passenger Coaches 521, 522 and 523 Remove existing flooring over entire passenger coaches. Seats are to be removed by other contractor. Secure existing stainless subfloor overlay per attached plan. Remove existing adhesive residue, clean and prepare the subfloor as per the manufacturer s recommendations and instructions. Install rubber and carpet flooring, in locations as indicated in attached plan, over entire car including dome level, and restroom as per the manufacturer s recommendations and instructions. Tiles are to be tightly fit to each other and to adjoining trim. Protect threaded inserts in floor, used to secure seats, and provide slightly oversized openings in new flooring at these locations. Carefully remove and catalogue thresholds, transitions and perimeter base trim for reinstallation. All trim and fasteners are to be reused or replaced in-kind. Contractor will need to cut, fit and secure new Alaska Railroad provided trim. Remove and reinstall the toilet surround for proper flooring installation. Replace sections of ARRC furnished exit path marking aluminum track and glow strip insert as indicated in plan. Contractor will need to cut, fit and secure aluminum track. Contractor will furnish all labor and flooring materials, except as otherwise noted, including all manufacturer recommended pre-cleaning products, solvents, primers, adhesives and caulking. Contractor will coordinate with other trades working in area. All work to be completed not later than January 11, 2017. Alaska Railroad Furnished Materials and Services NORA 3.5mm 925 Grano one meter square tiles, color 4882 banded agate NORA 310 PU adhesive Mohawk modular carpet Aluminum exit path marking trim strip and glow strip insert. 20 gage stainless steel stair nosing trim. Alaska Railroad will remove and reinstall toilet to allow flooring to be placed underneath. Car interior heat and basic electricity at tracks located directly outside of the Car Shop. Inside heated space for not less than two cars at one time for the flooring glue down and cure process. Restroom and hand wash facilities. Job related trash service at existing Alaska Railroad locations. 4

COST SCHEDULE A bidder's failure to provide the information requested in this section will be cause for rejection of the bid on the basis of non-responsiveness. Costs shall be bid FOB ARRC Ocean Dock Warehouse.
