Prerequisites SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.2 SAP NetWeaver BPM SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse 7.0 SAP NetWeaver BI Content 7.04 SP05 SAP BusinessObject Crystal Reports 2008 12.0 SAP BusinessObject XI SAP Integration 12.1 Summary This document provides step by step guidance on how to implement a simple report with SAP BusinessObjects Crystal Reports 2008, displaying data about the executed business processes on SAP NetWeaver BPM. The connection and extraction of data happens through several systems - SAP NetWeaver BPM, SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse(using the predefined BPM specific SAP NetWeaver BI Content) and the data are displayed in SAP BusinessObjects Crystal Reports 2008. Open Crystal Reports 2. Click on Select Cube button 3. Log on to SAP Business Objects XI Enterprise (please use the credentials to your Enterprise server) 2

4. Click Add button to add a new connection to the SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse where you will get the OLAP Data 5. Select SAP Business Information Warehouse from the dropdown with Server Types. 6. Define a name of the connection and all other connection details to the SAP Business Warehouse System. When ready with the details, test connection. If the connection is configured properly, you will get a successful message. 3

7. If the connection is working, press OK to finish with the configuration of the connection. 8. To get the connection details, you need to open SAP Logon and choose SAP Business Warehouse System and then click on Change Item to view the details of the system you need 4

Expand the node with BW_Q76_process(the name of the connection just defined). Expand the node $INFOCUBE 9. Scroll down and select Aggregated Process Data and click next Open. If you want to use other BPM InfoCubes, you can search for Aggregated Task Data and Aggregated Log Events Data. 5

10. Check if the field Cube CUBE=$0GLX_C01. If yes, then click next. 11. From the list of Dimentions, choose Definition Version and Status in Rows and Key Figures in Columns sections. Proceed with Next. 12. Select Calendar Year/Month from slice on the left and move it to Page. Proceed with Next. 6

O bke 13. Select Original as style to be applied and proceed with Finish. 14. This is how the newly created report will look like. The Report is opened in Preview mode. 15. You can navigate trough the data by clicking on the + icons in Preview Mode 16. If you want to edit the layout, you can switch to Design view. 7

17. In Preview mode, by clicking with the right mouse click a context menu appears, select View Cube 18. View Cube will open a new Cube View. In which you will have more drill-down options. 19. Save the report 8
