Eco Compact and easy to install The MEGAFLO Eco name is synonymous with high performance hot water. Unvented high performance hot water systems have delivered new levels of comfort for over a quarter of a century. Fast filling baths and invigorating showers were once a luxury, now almost everyone can enjoy the experience. As there are no tanks required in the loft space, siting of the cylinder can be almost anywhere in the property, including the garage. The cylinder is connected directly to the incoming mains pressure water giving exceptional shower performance. The images show the relatively low levels of heat loss from Eco compared to traditional cylinders in the high heat radiating areas of the immersion heater boss and temperature and pressure relief valves. At 1 bar the cylinders can deliver up to 79 litres of water per minute, almost double that of a typical cylinder of this type. At 3 bar the range can deliver up to 130 litres per minute. Whether you have a larger property with many bathrooms or a sports club needing to shower two teams at the same time every week, you will require a larger cylinder. You may have a hairdressing salon with high demand for hot water at peak periods, but insufficient space to store large quantities. In this case you would require a small store that can recover exceptionally quickly and serve multiple outlets. The Eco Plus range offers varying solutions for these demanding needs. The range provides high quality large capacity cylinders that can be installed in parallel applications to delivery just about any hot water requirement, the units are lightweight and provide high levels of corrosion resistance. With indirect models utilising state of the art corrugated steel coils to ensure the cylinders can heat in less than 60 minutes. Renewables Solar Thermal MEGAFLO solar systems collect solar radiation throughout the year. This is achieved by means of solar thermal panels or an array of tubes / collectors, normally located on the roof. This radiated energy is converted into usable domestic hot water. Energy from the sun is available all year round, with higher levels of radiation collected in the spring, summer and autumn, as the sun is effectively higher in the sky. Yet, even on the cloudiest, coldest of days the diffused radiation gathered will preheat your water saving fuel and its associated high cost. Can money be saved with a MEGAFLO solar system? The simple answer is yes, however how much you save will be determined by the fuel you use to heat your water. Typically a well positioned and installed MEGAFLO solar system can save you around 60% of the energy cost for heating your hot water. This must not be confused with the total energy cost for your space heating, cooking and lighting. It is a substantial contribution to your costs and as fossil fuels continue to escalate in price it is a sound investment for the future. Commercial From 400 to 2500 litres Flow rates are crucial to today s hot water specifiers, we have all been in a hotel where the shower does not perform, this is due to incorrect design of the hot water system. Commercial calorifiers change this with massive flow rates in excess of 100 litres/min achievable. If the building has flow rates higher than this, the calorifier will deliver. Heat recovery in minutes, not hours. The calorifiers are designed in such a way that if provided with the prescribed heat input, they will recover from cold in less than 60 minutes. This is achieved by the inclusion of super high performance coils or commercial electrical elements. All calorifiers come with 100mm of polyurethane-injected foam insulation to maximise heat retention and efficiency. 400 litre 500 litre 800 litre 1000 litre Commercial calorifiers offer the widest range of hot water solutions, operating up to 10 bar working pressure. Whether it is a school, college, hospital or multi storey office building, Commercial calorifiers can fill the need. The calorifers are manufactured from Duplex 2205 stainless steel to EN 1.4462, ASTM S3 2205/S31803 with PRE value of 35. This Ferritic-Austenitic steel combines high strength, excellent corrosion, cracking and pitting resistance. This marine-grade Duplex gives a low thermal expansion and high chloride resistance. It has a great strength to weight ratio to allow the completed cylinder to be much lighter than other materials. 2205 Duplex stainless steel has approximately twice the proof strength of standard 304 and 316 types making it well equipped to deal with the system pressure of calorifiers. With a 10 bar operating pressure the calorifers are designed to meet the needs of tall buildings and central plant rooms and can revolutionise the way the central hot water systems are designed by providing a true 10 bar operating pressure. The calorifiers are factory tested to 22.5 bar whilst the temperature and pressure relief valve is tested to 15 bar. The MEGAFLO Commercial calorifier range are supplied with a 6 bar operating pressure as standard. Key design features include front facing tappings for easy installation and servicing and a replaceable soft jacket that absorbs light knocks, giving specifiers a choice of design options. SHRU Shower heat recovery unit Product Range Solar Collectors The SHRU is a waste water heat recovery system (WWHRS). It transfers heat from discharged waste shower water to heat the incoming supply of cold mains water to the shower inlet, where the waste water would usually be piped directly to the soil and vent pipe. Waste shower water runs down through the internal pipe as cold mains water runs up the outer pipe. This preheating of the mains supply reduces the amount of hot water required for each shower. Waste water heat recovery systems are recognised within the SAP assessment process (see the WWHRS category of the SAP product database). When carrying out a SAP calculation for a home fitted with one or more shower heat recovery unit, the unit(s) will get you even closer to your overall dwelling target emission rating. Independent CE approved tests revealed that occupants in a home fitted with a shower heat recovery unit can enjoy energy savings comparable to those of solar thermal hot water systems.
