Limited functionality in EWM standard for stock blocking EWM already provides some functionality for stock blocking, but it lacks some features which are important to several industries. In Standard EWM... Stock can only be blocked manually Expired Stock (shelf life) can not be blocked automatically in the background No Integration to SAP ECC Quality Management Notifications EWM does not allow to enter or display a reason for blocking Inspection documents have to be created manually per HU, which leads in SAP ECC to one Quality Inspection Lot per HU! No simple tracking who has blocked the stock, for how long was it blocked and who unblocked the stock No guidance with possible follow-on functions, such as Release stock, Correct Expiration Date or Scrap Stock 2011 SAP AG.
