INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGIES Arnold Glas provides new solutions for the architectural glass industry and enables architects and planners to include extraordinary and complex glass application in the design of buildings. elevates the use and performance of solar control glass to a new level. expands the green building industry focus to include nature and wildlife conservation. advances tempered glass, with TOPVIEW, to avoid unsightly anisotropy (double refraction phenomena). Martin Schwarz, President and Member of the Group Executive Board TECHNICAL COMPETENCE AND COOPERATION Technical experts with decades of international project business experience guarantee expertise and know-how for multifunctional glass technologies. technical support for stress analysis, technical data sheets or compatibility of materials, etc. professional consulting for individual solutions and special glass configurations. Hans Joachim Arnold, Chairman of the Board QUALITY AND EXPERIENCE Through strict quality control and constant monitoring by an independent institute, Arnold Glas ensures to deliver the highest quality. Experience in international project management, and shipments to construction sites overseas guarantee a successful execution of contract. Stefan Marshall-Goebel, General Manager FLEXIBILITY AND BENEFIT Arnold Glas supplies customized glass-based solutions to building owners, planners and architects, window and façade designers and project engineers. Rapid processing, precision and accuracy in executing contracts, and flexible action are the basis to develop the very best solutions even for complex or unusual jobs. FIRST GLASS SOLUTION ARNOLD GLAS CORPORATION Arnold Glas Corporation is part of the Arnold Glas company group, a privately-held and independent company headquartered in Remshalden, Germany. Founded in 1959, Arnold Glas is one of Germany s largest and most innovative glass producers. With approximately 1,000 employees, 7 production locations including its own coating facilities and float works, Arnold Glas is a fullline supplier for architectural and decorative glass and worldwide known for quality Made in Germany. Alfred Arnold, the founder of Arnold Glas, is the inventor of ISOLAR, the first modern insulating glass unit produced with a flexible edge seal. The company continues its innovation driven path by developing products like ORNILUX, a bird collision protection glass that allows for design with glass without compromising environmental responsibility. arcon, the technology brand by Arnold Glas, has been offering highly effective magnetron coatings on all kinds of glass substrates for more than 30 years. Experience, know-how, technical expertise, and innovation are what makes arcon coatings your ideal choice for customized glass solutions. THE ADVANTAGES OF ORNILUX: ORNILUX THE SOLUTION FOR BIRD PROTECTION IS CLEAR Researchers estimate that hundreds of millions of birds are killed each year in North America due to collisions with glass on human-built structures, making bird collisions one of the most significant causes of avian mortality globally. Vassar College / Tamar M. Thibodeau Provides bird collision mitigation with a high level of transparency Expands the definition of an environmental glass type to include wildlife conservation Tested and approved by American Bird Conservancy With the understanding that birds are able to see light in the ultraviolet spectrum, bird-friendly glass innovator, Arnold Glas developed ORNILUX bird protection glass. The glass has a patterned, UV-reflective coating making it visible to birds while remaining virtually transparent to the human eye. ORNILUX bird protection glass is available as laminated glass or energyefficient, double- or triple-glazed insulated units with an additional low-e or solar control coating that offers a bird-friendly glass without compromising thermal performance or light transmittance. ORNILUX insulated and laminated units are available heat-strengthened or tempered. What we see What the birds see Over 15 years of research and development, and a global leader in birdfriendly glass Available as heat-strengthened or tempered glass Paired with low-e and solar control coatings All heat-treated units are available in TOPVIEW quality standards that avoid unsightly anisotropy (double refraction phenomena). SOLARLUX THE ADVANTAGES OF SOLARLUX: Solar control tailored to suit thermal performance needs without compromising a visually compatible and color matched façade for maximum flexibility in the planning and execution of projects. Pair different solar control glass coatings in North-/South-Façade: use A70 and achieve 70% light transmission on the North-Façade for maximum light. use A50 and achieve 50% light transmission on the South-Façade to reduce solar radiation. Pair different solar control glass coatings in Upper-/Lower Levels: use A70 and achieve 70% light transmission on lower levels that are shaded by neighboring buildings. use A60 and achieve 60% light transmission on upper levels that are exposed to direct sunlight. SOLAR CONTROL AND AESTHETIC DESIGN The A-Series offers a choice of high performance, solar-reflective and low-emissivity glass products that meet or exceed energy code requirements. With the new A-Series product range, Arnold Glas provides a new solar control technology for architects and façade planners who aim to optimize solar control and maximize efficiency and comfort. For the first time, four different solar control glass coatings (A40, A50, A60, A70) featuring different light transmission and performance can be paired together to design a color compatible facade. The A-Series ensures a balanced indoor climate both in summer and in winter. It saves energy on AC units or alternatively, on heating and thus makes a contribution to protecting the environment. The A-Series offers solutions for all climates: High light transmittance for optimum use of daylight Low total energy transmittance prevents excessive heating High thermal insulation protects against heat loss With its attractive, neutral appearance, the A-Series is a color-matching, heat-treatable product. All heat-treated units are available in TOPVIEW quality standards that avoid unsightly anisotropy (double refraction phenomena). Please contact us for more information.
