OPA Programs: TGRR The Great Refrigerator Roundup Program This program seeks to retire older, secondary refrigerators and freezers and recycle them in an environmentally responsible manner. The disposal or decommissioning process results in less than a small grocery-bag of waste ending up in a landfill for every appliance retired. Foam insulation is diverted from landfill, and all recyclable materials are reclaimed.

OPA Programs: peaksaver peaksaver Demand management program for residential and small commercial customers. Relieves peak load by remotely controlling the operation of central air conditioning units (and electric water heaters, where feasible) during periods of high demand. Participating customers will have a new programmable thermostat installed free of charge ($200.00 value), and receive a financial incentive of $25.00 for enrolling.

School Safety and Conservation Seminar EnWin will be providing this seminar to 60 schools in our service territory starting Mid November, 2007 Providing elementary students with education on Electrical Safety, Electrical and Water Conservation

Summer Sweeps Contest Who knew that simply turning up your thermostat a couple of degrees not only saves electricity but could make you a big winner? Reduce your total electricity consumption by 10% this summer, and get a chance to win great prizes*. Sign up between May 1 and June 30, 2008 to be eligible for the Early Bird draw. Grand Prize draw entry deadline is July 15, 2008. 1-800-322-7417

Welcome & Agenda Situation Overview Introduction to the Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP) Key Dates Getting Started Application Process Sources of Information

Situation Overview What Ontario Government target to reduce electricity peak demand by 1,350 MW between 2008-2010 How Conservation and demand reduction programs: Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP) for non-residential customers Replace inefficient products with high-efficient ones Why You benefit from incentives and lower operating costs To ensure a sustainable supply of electricity Benefit the environment

Program Overview ERIP focuses on: Prescriptive technologies: Well known technologies with established electrical savings, i.e: 1.Lighting 2.Motors 3.Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) 4.Agri-business technologies Custom projects: Reduce peak demand > 5 kw

Prescriptive Track Examples of pre-defined technologies approved for use in the program: Lighting Fluorescent lighting systems (T8, T5, CFLs) Metal halide lighting systems LED EXIT signs Occupancy sensors Motors Three-phase premium-efficiency motors 1-200 hp Cooling equipment Unitary A/C units up to 25 tons that are ENERGY STAR qualified or CEE compliant Agriculture 24 ventilation fans Swine creep heat and controls Livestock waterers

Program Overview ERIP incentives: 1. Fixed fee per unit for prescribed technologies 2. $ 150 / kw peak reduction for custom projects The program is operated by EnWin Utilities and is supported by the Ontario Power Authority.

The Timeline Submission deadline December 31, 2010

The Timeline Project savings results deadline 12 months from application approval Projects with early in-service dates will be given priority for approval Improvements will remain > 36 months
