Mitsubishi Innovative Solutions 1. Supplement heat Room additions Replace electric strip heaters 2. Hyper Heating with Inverters (H2i) Increase capacity at lower temperatures Heat pump HEAT way below ZERO 3. Displacement Leave existing equipment in place Add Mini-splits & Multi-splits where you live 12

Fuel Switching Potential Oil-fired heating systems Replacement - significant operating cost savings Displacement often effectively used with oil-fired system DHP serving part of living spaces Or DHP used as primary source except during extremely cold temperatures Gas-fired heating systems Replacement small operating cost savings Displacement AC usage, some heating DHP used to heat specific space or addition Knowledge gap DHP & gas heat at various temperatures

DHP Scenarios-Existing Buildings 1. Replacement of electric resistance heat a) Window AC replaced b) Or; central AC displaced Baseline Electric resistance (COP 1) & std. AC 2. Replacement of central heat pump a) HP & electric resistance coil (heating below 17 F) Baseline Heat pump @ existing or std. HSPF (includes resistance factor) 3. Displacement of oil, gas, propane central heat a) Variable heating usage climate and user discretion b) Window AC replaced c) Or; central AC displaced Baseline options: 1. Std. efficiency DHP 2. Window AC @ existing or std. EER & partial heating fuel displacement

Mitsubishi Innovative Solutions Hyper-heating (H2i ) INVERTER Provides exceptional heat pump output Full heating capacity at 5 F for cold weather locations Efficient heat pump heating to -18 F 15

Displacement A 1860-vintage home in rural western Massachusetts substantiated savings on the cost of heating oil during the brutally cold winter of 2013-2014 with a Mitsubishi H2i Heat Pump. The $3500 cost of the heat pump was offset by $2500 in grants and rebates. IMPROVEMENTS: Parallel heat pump to reduce the runtime of the oil-fired boiler Attic insulation, a 6mm poly barrier for basement, new door sweeps New thermostat, LED and CFL bulbs, faucet and shower aerators RESULTS: Electric bill increased by $51/month Fuel oil bill reduced by $174 per month Annual energy cost savings of $786

MSZ-FH**NA Systems MSZ/MUZ-FH09/12 /18 Extra High Efficiency! Up to 30.5 SEER and 13.5 HSPF All systems qualify for ENERGY STAR Hyper-heating INVERTER systems Comfort with i-see Sensor Technology Triple filtration 23
