222 System overview: testo 300 M/XL-I testo 300 M/XL-I Testo printer C The concept The testo 300 M/XL-I flue gas analyser is equipped with an 0 2 and measuring cell as standard. The analyser can also be equipped or upgraded with or SO 2 measurement. The measuring cells are changed on location without cal gas. One interesting option is the integrated differential pressure measurement function. Differential pressures can also be carried out parallel to flue gas analysis. If a Pitot tube is used, the analyser displays gas velocity, volume flow and mass flows for, /SO 2. Any type of Pitot tube can be connected; the respective Pitot tube factor must be entered. Individual gas sampling probes Gas sampling probes can be selected in different lengths and temperature ranges for the various sampling points. Testo offers a modular probe system for special requirements in industry. Penetration depths of up to several metres and temperatures up to 1800 are possible. Compact gas drier Protection from condensate During long-term measurements, condensate must be prevented from getting into the analyser and causing damage. To protect the analyser, the condensate trap in the sampling probe is simply replaced by a mini gas preparation unit which cools the flue gas. The condensate which develops is automatically pumped out by the built-in hose pump. System overview: testo 300 M/XL-I 223 Attachable printer Readings documentation XL-I Readings documentation The Testo printer or the attachable printer for XL-I are ideal for printing readings. Data is transmitted by infrared in a radius of 2 m. You can program the first 3 lines of the printout as required (e.g. address header). The attachable printer also offers the option of printing the company logo, an automatic data check and fast data transmission via buffer memory. Analysis software To analyse the data saved in your PC, the readings can be processed using the RS232 interface and EMICAL software in a WINDOWS environment. 224 testo 300 M/XL-I in operation C Emission checks Flue gas velocity can be measured simultaneously when emissions are checked. For example, the position of a stationary sample probe can be checked. The testo 300 -I can be field calibrated with cal gas to accurately measure the emission value. Flue gas duct testo 300 -I is portable (battery operated) which makes it easy to take measurements in hard to reach places. Flue gas dew point measurement is used for quick and easy checks on the filter and to locate ambient air leaks.

The sampling probes can be used at up to 1800. In extreme conditions, the measuring cell in testo 300 XL-I can be switched out of the gas path. C Adjusting the burner The testo 300 -I calculates air ratio and efficiency to optimize burner operation. The pressure in the combustion chamber is measured parallel to the flue gas values. This is particularly important for multi-stage burners. Measurements lasting several hours are possible with the optional mini gas preparation unit.
