Yorkstone "Yorkstone" HydraPressed Slabs receive the Abbotsford Concrete Products' distinctive Pacific Slate finish for the look of natural stone. "Yorkstone" slabs are perfect for pool surrounds, patios or any application that requires a little something extra. Sandstone "Sandstone" HydraPressed Slabs are created in the same manner as Texada by applying a light shot-blast architectural finish to our Yorkstone. Create unique and beautiful patterns by using a combination of Yorkstone and any of our other HydraPressed Slab Series. The possibilities are yours to imagine. Abbotsford Concrete's On-Site Stormwater Source Control System Abbotsford Concrete Products introduces AquaSlab, paving units for use over full, partial, or no exfiltration base designs. AquaSlabs support pedestrian applications only. AquaSlabs provide drainage through openings in the surface created by vertical slots on the sides of the units. These allow water to enter and flow at rates as high as 354 in./hour (9000 mm/m 2 /hr or 9000 litres/m 2 /hr). 457 mm 254 178 25 25 178 457 mm 254 254 178 25 457 mm available in 42, 50 or 60 mm FindmoredetailsaboutAbbotsfordConcrete'sAquaSlabandAquaPaveOn-

Benefits Lower Construction Costs In conventional drainage design, infiltration and detention facilities are separate from impervious paved areas. AquaSlab On-Site Stormwater Source Control System combines the pavement area, infiltration and detention facilities into one location, allowing more space on the site for incomegenerating buildings. For some designs there can be savings from decreasing or eliminating drain pipes and appurtenances such as inlets and utility structures. AquaSlabs can give you a superior surface at a lower cost than traditional paving methods. With its flat continuous surface, AquaSlabs accept pavement marking materials such as paint and thermal plastic tapes. Reduction of Runoff With an open surface area of about 2%, the openings can infiltrate as much as 354 in./hr (9000 mm/m 2 /hour or 9000 litres/m 2 /hr). The infiltration rate of the crushed stone used for the bedding and base is similar. For design purposes, a conservative 90% reduction in efficiency is generally assumed for infiltration facility design, due to the build-up of sediment over years of service. When considering a 90% reduction of initial infiltration as a typical design assumption, the AquaSlab On-Site Stormwater Source Control System will still capture, treat, infiltrate, and filter rainstorms over 35.4 in./hour (900 mm/m 2 /hr or 900 litres/m 2 /hr). This includes the commonly recurring storms, which generate the most pollution. Roof Water Roof water can be discharged into the sub-base. With gravity fed drainage it is recommended that the water is introduced into the sub-base by means of a sump with a manhole cover adjacent to the paved area. Any debris can be easily caught and cleared. The water is then dispersed within the system via a permavoid distribution tank or perforated outlet pipe. With siphonic drainage, a special chamber is used to disperse the water within the sub-base. Filtering and Treatment of Pollutants Studies of permeable interlocking concrete pavement and its sister practice, infiltration trenches, have shown substantial reduction of non-point source pollutants in runoff. The open-graded crushed stone base has an approximate storage volume of at least 30%. This storage capacity enables a decrease in peak flows and treatment of pollutants, especially nutrients and total suspended solids prior to drainage of the water from the base through drain pipes. Substantial reductions of metals can occur in full or partial base exfiltration designs where the water enters silt and clay soils. HydraPressed Slab Roof Installation using pedestals with HydraPressed Paving Slabs are used for pedestrian traffic or in areas where light maintenance vehicles (ie. golf carts) operate. HydraPressed Paving Slabs are installed on sand, mortar, or pedestal systems, for patios, plaza decks, roof tops, or any other type of pedestrian walking surface. Overview HydraPressed Paving Slabs Pedestals Extruded Polystyrene Insulation Protection Board and/or Drain Mat Waterproofing Membrane Structural Concrete Pedestal systems are designed for use over pitched surfaces. These systems ensure precise HydraPressed Slab alignment and even spacing to allow for drainage and air circulation which are critical to the health of any deck installed over a waterproof membrane. This type of segmental system allows for ease of access for repairs or annual maintenance to the subsurface without damage to the HydraPressed Slabs. Note: When specifying these types of built-up roof systems, be sure to consult the waterproofing manufacturers design details and specifications.
