ANNOUNCEMENT SmartLinx is pleased to announce the availability of SmartLinx Version 5.6116 update on Thursday, February 6, 2014. This is a suitewide update with enhancements and bug fixes for Schedule Optimizer, Time & Attendance, HR Management, CPCS, ESS, Directory, and Reports. The changes included in this release are covered under the Release Notes attached to this notice. There was no downtime required. RELEASE INSTRUCTIONS In order to be able to experience all of the new functionality that has been added to your environment, you may need to clear your browser cache. Please follow the instructions listed below to clear your browser cache and then re-start your browser. It may not be necessary for you to do this if you have automatically downloaded the latest version. You can quickly check this by looking at the version number at the bottom left corner of your login screen (Figure 1). If it is 5.6116, then you do not need to follow these next steps. Figure 1: Login Screen If you do need to clear your cache, In internet Explorer 9 and 10 Go to File --> Internet Options, then click on Settings under Browser History (Figure 2).

Click on View Files, you will see another window with all the temporary files. You can select all files in this folder and click on Delete on your keyboard, to delete all the files. Close all the Internet Explorer windows that were open by clicking on the OK button. Now close all the instances of Internet Explorer you have open on your computer. Restart Internet Explorer and go to your SmartLinx URL. The updated version of the application should now load. Optional Step: To ensure you always get the latest release moving forward set the radio button option to Every time I visit the webpage on the Website Data Settings screen (Figure 3). The application will take longer to load initially, as it will need to store all new files into the cache. If you performed the optional step, the application will typically take longer to load. RELEASE NOTES MAJOR FEATURES ADDED Configurable HR Approval workflow for new and existing employees added to the system. Allows you to implement an approval workflow solution, based on your organizational needs. A number of analytical reports were added to the CPCS product that help identify overtime statistics and help make better staffing decisions in the future. A number of items to address the Affordable Care Act government legislation. Allows you to track full-time vs. part-time employees, view how many hours on average the employees have worked, proactive alerts to notify you when an employee is nearing their hourly limit. Enable time clock messaging, both personal and mass messaging in version 5. ALL APPLICATIONS Improved performance throughout the system and ability to bring data back without refreshing the screen. HR MANAGEMENT Added ability to create alerts/reminders based on pre-defined system events (HRMS > Reminders) Added functionality to configure and manage Approval Workflow for New and Existing Employees, directly in the HR system, based on various configurable triggers. (HRMS > Employees > View > HR Approvals) DOB field is now configurable as an optional field when adding a new employee. (HRMS > Employees > Add Employee) Page 4 of 13

View, export, and print OSHA 300 form. (HRMS > Worker's Comp > Data >Generate OSHA Forms ) COBRA qualifying reasons can be edited and time frames expanded. (HRMS > Benefits > Cobra >Employee > Employee Cobra Enrollment) Page 5 of 13

Added ability to make HR Notes publically viewable. (HRMS > Employees > Employee Count > Employee Record > Notes) Defects Addressed Fixed an issue with uploading documents in the performance review section. Page 6 of 13

Fixed an issue with possible duplicate entries of the available cost centers. TIME AND ATTENDANCE Display time using consistent units, either in intervals or time. (TA > Daily Time Card) Added ability to submit changes/updates to the time clocks without changing the existing restriction level. (TA > Time Clocks > Employee Records) Enable timeclock messaging in V5. (TA > Data > Personal Employee Messages) Page 7 of 13

Created a screen that lists all the punches that are not in the punch log, to capture any "random" punch creation. (TA > View > List of Edited Punches) Page 8 of 13

Included secondary positions in shift differential calculations. Added Unpaid Absence code to the "View with Schedule" view on individual employee timecards. (TA > Timecards > Individual Timecard). Added more fields under HR Information in TA. (TA > View > HR Information) Page 9 of 13

Defects Addressed Fixed time clock scheduling interface. Fixed an issue with entering negative hours on the timecard. SCHEDULE OPTIMIZER Display time using consistent units, either in intervals or time. (SO > Schedule Detail) Added ability to filter Master Schedule by Employee Type. This is part of the Affordable Care Act initiative. (SO > Master Schedule > Options > Position Type drop down) As part of the Affordable Care Act initiative, created an alert for part-time employees scheduled over 30 hours in a work week. (HRMS > Reminders) Defects Addressed Fixed an issue with shifts entered through the individual schedule window. Page 10 of 13

(CPCS > Data > Employee Avg Hours) Added a number of utilization reports to CPCS in order to help clients make better decisions for OT employees. Defects Addressed Fixed a general issue with sending leave requests through ESS. REPORTS Fixed an issue with converting reports to PDF.
