The PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION PROGRAM IN INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS AND PORT MANAGE- MENT (PQP) qualifies students with the state-of-theart port management tools, decision-making skills, and hands-on sessions, necessary to their success in the complex and competitive environment of global business, logistic chains, and port industry. The emphasis of our program is gaining expertise on related issues on the port and commercial global business: trade, customs, transports, logistics and port operations. We mix a number of useful approaches to the topic, including technical, legal, economic, administrative, and managerial dimensions of the port business. Training period combines contents and practical sessions, always building on team work experiences. The PQP program comprises the following specialization areas: 1. International Trade & Customs 2. Main Objectives: To achieve an appropriate level of knowledge on the basic principles of planning, organization and business management in the port, trade and transport fields. Develop the capacity for the Identification of Alternatives in Logistics, the Supply Chain and its Strategies and the ability to develop innovative strategies for Supply Chain Management. Understand the main aspects related to the transport of goods by sea or land from different points of view: technical, operational, commercial, legal, economic and political. Learn the role of ports, within the logistic cycle of transport, and to have in depth knowledge both theoretical and practical their organizational, planning, economic, commercial and operational peculiarities. Methodology The gives expert-lectures are combined with the student s participation, individually or as a team, and the solving of practical case studies, exercises or work in which the use and assimilation of the analyzed problems becomes evident, in order to habituate the future manager to the schemes of discussion and group work. The lecture program will be completed with monographic sessions, conferences, discussions and visits to the port facilities. Target audiences Diploma, Degree, Engineer or Degree Professional experience will be assessed in companies from sectors related to the PQP theme 5

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND INSCRIPTIONS Requirements for admission to this course Professional qualification Program : The possession of a bachelor s degree or university diploma awarded by a Spanish university or that, being granted by a teaching institution or non-spanish professional institution, is considered equivalent to that. Demonstrate knowledge of English. Pass the C1 level English test Complete the admission documentation approved for each call accompanied by the curriculum and academic certifications. Attend the personal interview (face to face or by skype) and tests established by the Admissions Committee. Be selected by the Admission Committee. 12 FORMALITIES FOR ADMISSION The period of admission for applications of the Professional Qualification Program finishes the 1 of September 2017 The number of places is limited for pedagogical reasons and will be covered between the candidates selected by the Admission Committee. The selection process will be carried out according to criteria of academic curriculum, professional experience, and individual capacity and projection, to maximize the use of the whole group. Once the admission has been communicated to the interested parties, they must formalize the registration or their companies within a period of fifteen days. Otherwise, your place would be filled by the next candidate on the waiting list.
