FORGING MATERIALS OVERVIEW ULMA Piping makes the quality of its forged products its number one concern. We produce our forgings from a wide variety of materials to suit the varying needs of customers in many industries. Our customers know they can rely on ULMA Piping when they need forgings and other pieces made from superior materials and at competitive prices. We have four kinds of Level II-III nondestructive testing (NDT) at ULMA Piping: Ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and x-ray. These tests do not harm the forgings and can be carried out on final pieces. Our systems, processes and operations are certified to ISO 9001 standards, as awarded by LLOYD S REGISTER QUALITY ASSURANCE. They are reviewed continuously and audited by internal quality audits and third-party inspection agencies. ENGINEERING SERVICES Since our company opened its doors in 1962, one thing has been clear: partnership with our customers,whether large or small, is our first order of business. The DESIGN is made according to the relevant standards, ASME, API, NORSOK, BS, CSA, BF, AFNOR following a calculation process according to the Code: ASME BPVC SECTION VIII, DIVISION 1, allowing a quick and accurate design. The resulting design is verified by the most advanced Finite Element Analysis technologies (2D-3D) following the ASME VIII, DIVISION 2. We do not just verify the design but we also work in the optimization in order to obtain the best possible and most competitive solution in both the technical and commercial aspects. We also perform Hydrostest to the complete flanged joint (FLANGE, GASKET, BOLTS/NUTS), for testing the strength and leaks. A Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (QHSE-MS) has been developed, implemented and certified at our operating facility as per the requirements of ISO 9001 (since 1992), OHSAS 18001 (since 2010) and ISO 14002 (since 2002). To enhance credibility, the QHSE Management System is third-party certified by LLOYDS REGISTER QUALITY ASSURANCE and subjected to a thoroughgoing annual audit.
