METAL TILES
RAW MATERIAL Raw Material: steel coated The Brazilian steel industry is today among the largest and most modern in the world, being able to meet the most rigorous specifications of steel, of the most varied sectors consumers, in both the domestic and external markets. In its expansion and modernization, special attention was given to the installation of lines of zinc coating, by continuous process by hot dipping, more efficient and economical. There are various possibilities of coating for steel used in tiles, which must be specified as a function of requirements such as durability, aesthetics and the environment where the tiles are placed, for example, if a coastal area, industrial area with high emission of particulates aggressive, or in an urban area or rural area. The main types of steel used in tiles are the following: Galvanized by hot dipping - have great resistance to atmospheric corrosion and can meet the mission more effective. May present coating with pure zinc or zinc alloy and iron. Aluzinc or Galvalume - due to its chemical composition (aluminum, zinc and silicon), this coating of steel gives the product excellent protection to atmospheric corrosion, high reflectivity, better thermal comfort, great looks and maintenance of brightness. In relation to steel zinc plated, presents a resistance to corrosion, at least two times higher. Pre-painted - the coils of steel zinc plated are painted before being formed into tiles. The coils are given a "primer" epoxy, followed by finishing paint (Coil Coating). Specific coatings for environments more aggressive can be offered, and also the application of removable film protection when handling. The pre-painted, have a wide range of colors, offer great durability, ease of maintenance and aesthetic benefits. The pre-painting offers durability in relation to post-painting. source: ABCEM
The covers of steel offer great advantages in terms of installation, both in new construction and in the renewal, mainly due to its low weight. Because of its durability, ease of maintenance and recyclability, the covers in steel respond to the demands of sustainable construction. In addition to the protective function and sealing, the coverage nowadays is associated with complete systems of energy generation through solar panels or photovoltaics. This type of solution has been widely used in Europe, mainly in France and Germany, where buildings with large areas of roofing use steel roofing with photovoltaic panels integrated and resell the surplus energy to the dealers. Stadiums and buildings that have low energy consumption, can benefit greatly from the sale of surplus energy generated on the cover. To the extent that the plated steel presents itself as a material of great durability, high mechanical strength and with great versatility, providing the manufacture of products lightweight and easy to handle, manufacturers of roofing and side closings had elected him as their basic raw material for the production of tiles and its components. THE MANUFACTORING PROCESS OF TILES The trapezoidal or wavy profiles are manufactured from steel coils zinc advance, through a continuous process in rolls of profiling.
KINDS OF TILES Corrugated (wavy) Corrugated roof in addition to the geometric shape, which usually distinguishes the corrugated roof of steel is its low height, when compared with the tiles of trapezoidal profile - a wavy tile that follow the pattern of the NBR 9005 must be 18 mm in height. The reduced height makes this flexible profile, which is why he is widely used in roofing arched, since it fits more easily to the curvature of the roof, without suffering damage or require a greater effort of assemblers. Roofing tiles are also preferred application in roofs with good trim in rural sheds small businesses, in silos for storage of grains with shapes and corners. More recently, are being rediscovered by the architecture of facades that have used in horizontal and in strong colors or metallic. Can be supplied also perforated to use as masks of shadows in facades subject to a lot of incidence of the sun. Overall width Useful width Optional useful width

KINDS OF TILES Trapezoidal Trapezoid tiles - The trapezoidal tiles offer a wide variety of types. Depending on the height of the trapeze, you can get the best performance of quality in relation to specified project, thus placing, a great potential for creation in the hands of architects and designers. Industrial works of large organizations use on a large scale the tiles trapezoidal, they may allow the rationalization of lay-out procedure, as well as the reduction of construction time, assumptions for steel construction, combining those two factors, the durability of the building.

THERMOACOUSTIC TILES (SANDWICH) Tiles of metal can be provided with insulation thermoacoustic, providing reduction of external noise and high thermal for the covers and closures. The thermal isolation varies according to the materials used. The overall coefficient of heat transmission allows the comparison of different materials according to their performance in thermal insulation. For its calculation are used, among other factors, the thermal conductivity (k), which is a function of the material and its thickness. The lower the value of the overall heat transfer coefficient, the better your thermal protection. EPS EXPANDED POLYESTIRENE Thermoacoustics tiles with EPS consists of two trapezoidal tiles with EPS- Expanded Polyestire, forming a sort of sandwich. It is used when you want a tile with good performance thermoacoustic at a lower cost, compared to tiles with PU-polyurethane insulation. The EPS is placed between the two tiles, forming a set with great rigidity. Use the polystirene with a density of 13 or 20 kg/m3, with a coefficient of thermal conductivity k = 0.039 kcal/mh c (density 13 kg/m³) or k=0.032 kcal/mh c (20 kg/m³) at ambient temperature of 25ºC. It is in this way a tile with good thermal resistance and good reduction of external noise. The tiles with polystirene core are lightweight and not overwhelm the structures of support. PU POLYURETENE They consist of two trapezoidal tiles with core expanded polyurethane, forming a rigid set. They are used when the application requires a great performance thermoacoustic, which is obtained through the use of Polyurethane, a material that has the best ability insulator between the various existing materials. The polyurethane is injected between the two tiles, forming a set with great rigidity, which is obtained by the adhesion between the tiles and the expanded polyurethane. Use the polyurethane with a density of 35 to 40 kg/m3, with a coefficient of thermal conductivity k=0,016kcal/mhºc. It is in this way a tile with a high thermal resistance and large reduction of external noise. Upon request, you can increase the thickness of the polyurethane to meet specific projects that require insulation more stringent. In the case of pre-manufactured, is delivered in the work ready to be used, making the job of fitting. The great rigidity and mechanical resistance allow use in gaps of up to 4000 mm between supports. The tiles sandwiches with polyurethane core are lightweight and not overwhelm the structures of support.
