Payroll Tax Associate Provide overall accounting support including computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete. Assist in the management of tax-related calculations, remittance of payments from clients as well as the research and resolution of tax-related issues on behalf of Tilson and/or the client. The Payroll Tax Associate may also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. Recommended Education Level: Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree) Recommended Experience Level: 1+ Year(s) Essential Functions Assist with the processing of tax notices; create and update tool kit tickets, as needed; organize exiting tickets for the Payroll Tax team including but not limited to maintaining tax file folders. Process completed Powers of Attorney (POAs) including but not limited to reviewing POAs for accuracy with associated Tool Kit Tickets, and submitting POAs to the appropriate tax authority. Assist with the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax filings. Maintain quarter-end checklist. Assembles, records, enters, and files a variety of financial, accounting, and statistical information. Other duties as assigned.
