. 1. How do I join the Achilles Automotive SCM Programme? Participation in Supply Chain Mapping is by invitation only. Any supplier that receives an invitation to participate is encouraged to take part in this important initiative. Your participation will serve to further strengthen your business relationship with your customer, and position your organisation better for future sourcing. 2. What is the role of Achilles? Achilles will be responsible for engaging with all invited suppliers, and any sub-supplier who is identified as being part of the supply chain, to achieve registration in the Achilles Supply Chain Mapping Programme, and to map their supply chains in full for the products they supply that contribute to the end product manufactured by the buying organisation. Achilles will also be responsible for providing regular reporting to buying organisations regarding the registration status of all suppliers in the supply chain. 3. What is Supply Chain Mapping (SCM)? The information gathered through Supply Chain Mapping (SCM) tells buying organisations which companies are in their extended supply chain; where they are based; which products and services they supply to the buying organisation; and where they source the products or components from in order to produce the products they supply. SCM helps organisations to strengthen their commercial relationships; build business continuity; protect their corporate brand; safeguard their reputation; and save time and money in the event of a supply chain disruption. SCM identifies interdependencies and risk points in the supply chain. It enables participating organisations, for example, to identify whether a supplier is based in a high-risk area for natural disasters. SCM also highlights areas of convergence, where multiple suppliers source components or services from the same sub-supplier, thus representing potential single points of failure in the supply chain. The impact of a supply chain disruption or failure at this point is characteristically high, as it will affect multiple parts of the production process. Using this information, organisations are able to proactively reduce the impact of any potential risks to their business and develop appropriate mitigation measures, including identifying alternative suppliers for that just in case scenario. 02-05/2016 Page 3 of 10

4. How does the Achilles Automotive SCM Programme work? The Achilles Automotive SCM Programme involves a two-step process that takes approximately 20 minutes (on average) to complete in total, providing the supplier has all the information available prior to commencement. Step 1 is an initial registration, where each supplier is required to provide information about their company. Step 2 is to map the supply chain, where each supplier is asked to provide details about their suppliers. The Achilles Automotive SCM Programme uses an automated invitation process to map all organisations in the extended supply chain. It starts with the Buyer, who selects and adds details of the product codes they buy and then links the associated direct Tier 1 suppliers that provide them. Once a supplier is linked, an automated invitation to join the Programme is sent to the Tier 1 supplier. The Tier 1 supplier then confirms or declines each of the product codes included in their invitation and adds details of their related product codes and their sub-suppliers. This then triggers an invitation to the next tier of suppliers. The process is repeated until the whole supply chain is engaged. Creating the link between product codes sold and bought ensures continuation of the chain. Each participant therefore will develop a view of their own extended supply chain, including the products they buy and the suppliers they use to source these products. 5. What are the key features of the Achilles Automotive SCM Programme? Available in 13 languages - UK English, US English, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, Mongolian, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Simplified Chinese; Advanced search functionality search all the suppliers related to a specific product or view all products supplied by a specific supplier; Capability to customize how the supply chain map displays based on personal preferences; Reporting capability participants can download a PDF chart of their supply chain map; export data records as a CSV File; or view supplier locations on a Geo Map; Built-in functionality to send requests to suppliers e.g.to grant visibility of their supply chain map or to complete outstanding parts of the SCM process; 02-05/2016 Page 4 of 10

Capability to manage visibility of the supply chain map and determine which organisations can see the upstream supply chain; Standardised data collection across all participants; Participation by invitation only. Supply Chain Chart Geo Map 6. What are the benefits of the Achilles Automotive Supply Chain Mapping Programme? Delivers a clear overview of the extended supply chain; Enables buying organisations to develop a complete picture of their full supply chain map; Enables suppliers to develop a supply chain map for the products and services they receive an invitation for; Identifies interdependencies and risk points in the supply chain; Identifies areas of convergence potential single points of failure; 02-05/2016 Page 5 of 10

Identifies supplier clusters across high-risk regions; Raises awareness of how major events or incidents might impact global production; Supports risk mitigation and helps participants to build resilience capability. These insights will enable you to build important business continuity capability and help you to improve the way you manage and respond to risk in your supply chain. 7. How does Supply Chain Mapping benefit participating organisations? Supply Chain Mapping benefits organisations of all sizes, from small to medium-sized companies to large global corporates, no matter where they appear in the supply chain. By participating in SCM and inviting your suppliers to join the SCM Programme, you benefit from the unique opportunity to map your own supply chain. Being able to view and search across your supply chain map, puts the control back in your hands and enables you to manage your supply chain more effectively. You gain the capability to proactively reduce the impact of any potential risks to your business through timely insight into vital, up-to-date information on your direct suppliers and their sub-suppliers, including the ability to identify interdependencies and risk points in your supply chain map. In addition, the Achilles Automotive Supply Chain Mapping Programme provides your business with a cost-effective and time-efficient means to provide information on your supply chain to your direct customers. It also helps you and your sub-suppliers ensure supply chain mapping information is kept up-to-date on an annual basis, and enables you to meet the supply chain mapping requirements of your customers at all times. 8. What actions are required of my organisation? As part of the Supply Chain Mapping (SCM) Programme you will be required to do the following: Provide basic company and contact information as part of the registration process; Set up your login details to give you access to your personal SCM Dashboard, where you can manage your SCM invitations received and sent; Confirm your link to the customer(s) that invited you to join SCM i.e. confirm that you supply this customer the products and services listed in the invitation letter; Manage visibility of your supply chain to organisations above you in the supply chain i.e. decide which companies you are happy to allow visibility of your downward supply chain; Provide details of the products you buy in order to be able to supply the products listed in your invitation i.e. link products bought to products sold; Provide details of the suppliers you source these products and services from; Encourage your sub-suppliers to participate in the SCM Programme. 02-05/2016 Page 6 of 10

9. What information does my organisation need to provide? Information you will be required to provide includes: Contact Information: First and Last Name Job Title Telephone Number Email Address Company Information: Company Name Trading Address Company Type (Registered or Not registered) Registration number The Products and Services you buy: Add the products and services you buy based on product codes (select from list) Alternate Lead Times (where known and available) The suppliers you source these products and services from: Supplier Name Supplier Country Supplier Postcode/Zip Code Contact First and Last Name Contact Email Telephone Number Please note: having all this information available prior to commencing the Registration Process will save you time. 10. What does managing visibility entail? SCM enables you to determine which organisations in the downstream supply chain can have visibility of your upstream supply chain, including your direct and sub-suppliers. It is, however, important to understand the implications of denying visibility from a supply chain mapping perspective and from the overall value of the SCM Programme for its participants. If you choose to deny a company visibility of your supply chain, what effectively happens is that the supply chain mapping process is terminated at this point for the product and service you supply to them. This means that they no longer have visibility of their full extended supply chain for a particular part of their production process. This in turn impacts their capability to manage their overall supply chain effectively, as it prevents them from having the full risk picture. For this reason, we would therefore always encourage all participants in the SCM Programme to grant visibility wherever possible. 02-05/2016 Page 7 of 10

Please note that where you deny visibility of your supply chain to a particular company, they will see that the supply chain has been hidden. In this instance, you may receive a direct request from buyers within this organisation to grant them visibility. 11. What information does the SCM Programme provide me with? The information gathered via the SCM Programme tells participants which organisations are in their extended supply chain; where they are based; which products and services they supply; and where they source them from. It enables all participating organisations (buyers and suppliers) to identify interdependencies and risk points in their supply chain and allows them to develop appropriate risk mitigation measures to strengthen supply chain and organisational resilience. 12. How will the information gathered via the SCM Programme be used? The information collected by Achilles as part of the SCM Programme will be used solely for the purposes of supply chain mapping and will only be shared with those organisations where you have granted visibility of your supply chain. All information supplied via the Supply Chain Mapping Programme will be treated as highly confidential and in compliance with competition law. 13. Why should I participate? Today s purchasing, sourcing and supply chain professionals are faced with the challenges of managing risk across increasingly global and complex supply networks. Organisations need to understand not just the direct suppliers they buy from, but also those who indirectly contribute components or services across the extended supply chain. Achilles Automotive Supply Chain Mapping allows companies to map their extended supply chains, and view supplier information beyond their Tier 1 suppliers. It enables you to understand previously unknown risks in your supply chain and to quickly identify all the suppliers contributing to the production of a specific product. SCM provides valuable insights into your extended supply chain that cannot be gained by any other route. These include: Which organisations are in your extended supply chain from Tier 1 to Tier N for each product code Where these suppliers are located, what they supply and where they source from Interdependencies within the supply chain map i.e. where multiple product streams within an organisation are dependent on the same supplier Areas of convergence potential single points of failure Risk points e.g. which companies are located in high-risk locations 14. Are there any costs associated with the Achilles Automotive SCM Programme? There is no cost to participation for suppliers. All costs of the Programme are borne by the buying organisation (OEM) that initiates it. 02-05/2016 Page 8 of 10

15. I am a direct supplier and I already have a completed supply chain map do I still need to participate? To support the buying organisation s objectives, it is important to have all supply chain mapping data in one central database that can be accessed centrally. Suppliers are therefore requested to provide information on their supply chain map via the Achilles Automotive SCM Programme as the preferred option. 16. What languages can I complete the Achilles Automotive SCM Programme in? The Achilles Automotive Supply Chain Mapping Programme is available in UK English, US English, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, Mongolian, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Simplified Chinese. Achilles has Customer Support Teams located around the globe that can offer support in your local language wherever possible. 17. What do I do if I can t find my product in the Product Code Guide? If you are unable to find your product code in the Product Code Guide, please contact Achilles at automotive@achilles.com. Achilles does periodically update the Product Code List so it is important that you let Achilles know if a product code has been missed. Alternatively contact your Jaguar Land Rover buyer for guidance on how to proceed. 18. I have a large volume of sub-suppliers and do not have the time to enter this information into the system If you have a large volume of sub-suppliers that need to be added to the Supply Chain Mapping system, Achilles can support you with a bulk upload of your data, saving you time and effort. To find out how, simply contact Achilles via automtoive@achilles.com 19. Who will have access to my information? Where visibility has been set to Visible: Buying organisations have access to all the information that you provide via the Achilles Automotive Supply Chain Mapping Programme. This information is limited to that which your organisation supplies. This typically includes your full Contact information, Company address information; Products & Services supplied; as well as Products & Services sourced and the associated suppliers. Other value-chain customers above you in the supply chain also have access to the same limited information, including full Contact information, Company address information; Products & Services supplied to the chain; as well as Products & Services sourced and the associated suppliers. Where visibility has been set to Hidden: Your data will only be made available to those organisations where you have granted visibility. Where visibility is denied to an organisation above you in the supply chain, they will not be able to see your supply chain map. 02-05/2016 Page 9 of 10

In effect, the supply chain mapping process terminates at this point for that particular organisation. Your direct or indirect customers in your sales channel may contact you to request that you provide information on your suppliers. 20. Can I update my information once I have submitted it? Yes, you can update your company and / or supply chain mapping information at any point in time as required. To update your information, simply login and make the required changes. 21. I am not sure the products I supply to my customer are sold to the buying organisation. How can I be sure? If you have received an invitation to participate in the Achilles Automotive Supply Chain Mapping Programme, then the products you supply to your direct customer will be sold to the buying organisation. The only case where this might not be the case is where the product codes listed in your invitation are incorrect. In this case, you will be required to list the correct product codes. You will then receive a revised invitation to participate. 22. Who is Achilles? Achilles is one of the world s largest service providers of global supply chain risk management solutions with more than 1,000 people working in 22 countries. Achilles works on behalf of over 860 buying organisations, from 11 industry sectors, to collect, validate and maintain essential data about more than 133,000 suppliers. This enables buying organisations to gain visibility of their suppliers capabilities and compliance before making important sourcing decisions.
