The Company THERMA was borne in 1981 as a spin off operation realized by family Alberti, the owner of Officine e Fonderie di Saronno, (company borne in 1953 and operating in various activities like stove, industrial air heating, community incinerators, industrial boilers, combustion plant) with the name THERM.A. (like TERMICA ALBERTI) operating in the production of high efficiency boilers. In 1982 this company was sold to the Management and the name was changed in THERMA maintaining his activity as a manufacturer in the field of thermal energy production like: steam, hot water, high temperature diathermic oils. The standard production line of THERMA S.p.A. consists of steam boilers (water tube type or shell type), and of hot oil boilers for the use of the diathermic oil directly in the processes or for the indirect production, via heat exchanger, of other hot mediums like steam or hot water. Principal characteristic of THERMA S.p.A. it' s to have inside the plant and project know-how of the thermal part. This' it allows to support the client in the phase of choice of the typology of plant and of take part to, during the development of the project, with heavy changes also, for the attainment of the maximum energetic and economic efficiency of the plant. Boiler, accessories and plant engineering are planned inside the structure or in coordination with the suppliers of the various machineries (CENTRAX, ELIN, HAND, JENBACHER, TUMA etc). The acquired experience in to plants and to develop the fittings of combustion devoted to the heat generators of our production has allowed us to realize special and particular machines in the full respect of the environment. 02
Energy builders Improving energy and saving environment and money The special production line of THERMA S.p.A. consists of HRSG for gas turbine or motors, of steam products, superheated water and diathermic oil, HRSG for incineration unit. Thermoxidizer for rendering plants. Besides to the standard production, THERMA S.p.A. is involved in design, production and erection of plants able to burn tail ing, tarry and other types of production residual, and heat recovery plants. We can also provide preliminary studies and basic designs for combined heat and power stations, based both on gas turbines and on steam turbines, the steam is produced by hot oil boilers and hot oil steam exchangers. Today, THERMA S.p.A., headquarter in Palazzo Pignano - Cremona - Italy, is a Company with more than 50 people. It assures the highest quality level, thanks to the continuous controls and test on any incoming material and on any products to be delivered to customers. 06

THERMA S.p.A: is one of the leaders in Italy for the manufacturing thermal plants thanks to the following projects 1981 THERMA manufactures the first hot oil heater with a combustion air pre-heater, able to give a thermal efficiency higher than 90%. Know How 1986 THERMA produces the first monobloc plant rendering the oil heater steam exchanger in one unit package. This solution reduce in very high quantity the amount of time and costs of piping and mounting to be done in the customer's workshop. 1988 THERMA produces the co-generation power station gas turbine "Cheng Cycle", simple and combined cycle. Gas Engine. 1990 THERMA produces the new steam boiler fire tube system ENERGO 90 with economizer to pre heating the feed water to give a thermal efficiency higher 91%. 1993 THERMA supply the first heat recovery steam generator behind gas turbine. 1998 THERMA supply the first molten salts heater (there is only one competitor in the word who made this type of boiler) Between 1998-2005 THERMA S.p.A. produced many other hot oil heater with capacity up to 20 MWt and many heat recovery steam or superheated water behind gas turbine or motors. In this period THERMA has acquired a particular specialization in the sector of "District Heating" almost enumerating among it's Clients the municipalized firms more important (see references list enclosed). 07
