Total Price Comparison Overview Total Price Comparison, our latest Management tool, provides monitoring of the lowest fares in the market based upon key elements of the total price, including base fare, surcharges, carrier-imposed (YQ/YR) fees, and taxes. The tool uses routing-based pricing to calculate the lowest fare by departure date for multiple markets and carriers for up to 180 days in the future. Results are presented in a report view so you can easily discover price differences between you and your competitors and which fare element is causing the difference. Calendar and chart views also help to quickly identify rule discrepancies, such as misaligned seasonality, travel, and blackout dates The intent of Total Price Comparison is not to return the absolute total fares of the market; therefore, this tool should not be used for itinerary pricing but rather as an aid to help identify possible market conditions in your competitive market analysis. Features of Total Price Comparison View the total price, including base fare, surcharges, taxes, and carrier-imposed fees (YQ/YR) View a detailed breakdown of surcharges, taxes, and carrier-imposed fees Compare the detailed breakdown of surcharges, taxes, and carrier-imposed fees of your fare with one a monitored carrier s fare See results that incorporate itinerary pricing using most frequently used connections, connection times, and valid routes Monitor public specified fares and constructed fares View the lowest applicable total public fare in a market for up to 180 days View results in calendar or graph view Download results to a.csv file Improve your workflow through integration with Market View 2 18 May 2015

Search Results The results of the submitted Search Criteria are first displayed in a grid view. As soon as the application has processed the requested search criteria, results will begin to appear as the fare products are returned. Once all results are returned for the search, a count will be provided that indicates the number of results returned for the completed search. Assumptions Total Price Comparison uses data from ATPCO s, Rules, Footnotes, Routing, -Imposed (YQ/YR) Fees, and Tax Collection & Distribution to price itineraries built from OAG schedules. Results are not based on inventory Results are based on online transportation only The marketing carrier is the same on all segments of the trip The ticketing location is always the origin The Origin and Destination being monitored must be published with online schedules in the OAG Flight paths are selected based on the shortest distance and travel time for the origin and destination Product types returned are Public Specified and Public Constructed Passenger type must be Adult (ADT) fares For YQ/YR and surcharges, all fees are processed that are not set by using a flight number or equipment type Categories Validated The following categories are validated against all fares processed: Category 1 Eligibility Category 2 Day/Time Application (except for Time) Category 3 Seasonality Category 4 Flight Application Category 5 Advance Reservations and Ticketing Category 6 Minimum Stay Category 7 Maximum Stay Category 11 Blackout Dates Category 12 Surcharges (except for Equipment Type) Category 14 Travel Restrictions Category 15 Sales Restrictions Category 17 Higher Intermediate Point/Mileage Category 23 Miscellaneous Provisions Route Selection Total Price Comparison uses modified itinerary-based pricing to calculate the lowest fare built from OAG schedules. The system uses OAG schedules (updated weekly) to build all possible routes for the market/carrier. The most optimal route for the specified travel dates is then selected based on a weighted formula of total travel time (including connection/layover) and distance. If a route path is significantly longer than competing route paths, it will be discarded. 12 18 May 2015

Selecting Lowest Itineraries for the selected most optimal routes are priced using ATPCO s, Rules, Footnotes, and Routings. All applicable public ADT fares are priced based on the possible itineraries, including TSIs to measure date provisions and Advance Purchase, Minimum/Maximum days of travel, and Seasonality for the correct determination of those restrictions. s are not processed and priced to the flight number level or equipment type. The lowest fare priced with the most optimal route is returned in the results. Applying Taxes, Surcharges, and -Imposed Fees (YQ/YR) Data from ATPCO Rules (Category 12 Surcharges), -Imposed (YQ/YR) Fees, and Tax Collection & Distribution are used to apply surcharges, carrier-imposed fees, and taxes. For taxes, all TFCs and carrier exceptions, excluding flight- and equipment-specific fees, are resolved and included in the pricing of the fares. Flight connection times are retained from schedules and are also resolved for tax collection. For YQ/YR and surcharges, all fees are applied excluding those that are flight- and equipment-specific. Example ORIG DEST CXR Travel Date Flight Schedule SIN SFO 91 15JUL15 SIN HKG arrival at 2300 15JUL15 HKG SFO departs 0100 at 16JUL15 03AUG15 SIN HKG arrival at 2100 03AUG15 HKG SFO departs 2300 at 03AUG15 Public ADT fares filed: ORIG DEST Class Seasonality SIN SFO KHNX91 12JUN15-16JUL15 SIN SFO KKNX91 17JUL15-31JUL15 *TSI 41: ON THE OUTBOUND TRANSPACIFIC SECTOR SIN SFO LKNX91 01AUG15-10AUG15 *TSI 41: ON THE OUTBOUND TRANSPACIFIC SECTOR Tax filed: Type Code Sub-Code Exempt Description Tax Amount US AY 001 X Connection within same calendar day 0.00 Connection on next day within 24 hours 7.80 X Connection within same day and by flight number CR281 0.00 Result returned: Travel Date Class Tax Amount 31JUL15 KHNX91 7.80 03AUG15 LKNX91 0.00 13 18 May 2015

For travel departing on 15JUL15, the transpacific sector does not occur until 16JUL15; therefore, fare class KHNX91 is used for pricing. For the transpacific sector occurring on 03AUG15, the LKNX91 fare will be returned and the fare class KHNX91 will not be returned because it is not valid for that itinerary. For travel on 15JUL15, the US-AY 001 tax is applied because the system reads the connection time, which on this example is next day within 24 hours. For travel on 03AUG15, the exemption is applied because the connection is within the same calendar day. The system does not read the last sequence of US-AY 001 because it does not process down to the flight number level. Frequency of Data updates After each hourly subscription file, the application will detect any changes that may affect the total price of the itinerary. This applies to changes in fare records, Record 1, and Record 2 for Footnotes and Rules. The itineraries with these markets will be rebuilt and re-processed to reflect changes to the total price. Changes in routings, carrier-imposed fees, taxes, or international add-ons are detected only during the nightly cycle. Row View The grid header displays icons, buttons, and other information that enable you to manage your results. Show/Hide Columns If you do not want to view all the columns in the grid, click to select which columns to show in your results view. Columns with a selected checkbox will be shown in the results. If you do not wish to see a column, deselect the checkbox for the column. Reload Grid/Cancel Changes If you wish to reset column changes to the default setting, click. Download If you wish to download your results into a.csv file, click. Status When a search is running, the application will identify the status of the search. Your search may be shown as Searching or Complete to indicate all data has been processed and displayed on your results view. Total Rows Once your search has completed, Total Rows will indicate the total number of Host rows returned for your search. If you have filtered the results, the Total Rows will show the number of filtered data that is returned relative to the number of rows returned for the entire search. 14 18 May 2015

Collapse/Expand Row If you wish to collapse Monitored rows, click the located on the Host row next to the carrier code. If you wish to expand collapsed Monitored rows, click the located on the Host row next to the carrier code. Subscriptions When the application returns results for your search, the screen will display the date and time of the most recent Subscription processing that your search ran against. Sorting Data is returned and displayed as the application matches the search data to the results. When results are initially displayed in the grid, each column has a predetermined default sort. The default sort is as follows. 1. Alphabetically by the value in the Origin field, A to Z, on the Host row 2. Low to high by the value in the Outbound Date field on the Host row 3. Low to high by the value in the Total Amount field on the Monitored row 4. Alphanumerically by the value in the field, A to Z, and low to high, on the Monitored row Once the search has completed, you may sort the data by clicking the arrow next to the field name. You can further sort the data by clicking the blue arrow icons clicking Apply. in the column you wish to sort and then Sort the data by clicking on the blue arrow icons in the column you wish to sort. Click the up arrow to display data lowest to highest for numbers or A to Z for letters. Click the down arrow to display data highest to lowest for numbers or Z to A for letters. The arrow that you have selected will be highlighted white. If you have another column sorted, the sort arrow for that column will be highlighted yellow. Columns that are secondary sorts will have the sort arrow highlighted green. You can sort up to six columns at a time. You must click the button to apply all column changes to the results grid. Click the button to cancel all column changes and revert to the default column settings. Filtering When results are returned after performing a search, the data is returned by Outbound Date, Origin, Destination, Total Amount, and order. 15 18 May 2015

If you decide to filter the data, you may enter a specific data element in the filter grid that you wish to see all the associated fares. When you enter a value without specifying an operand, that value is assumed to be Equal. You must click the button to apply all column changes to the results grid. Navigation Total Price Comparison offers multiple ways to view results depending on how you would like to analyze the data. Right-click on a Host row from the results grid to navigate to Calendar, Chart, Excluded s, Market View, and View Details. Calendar The Calendar View displays a monthly view of days where there is a variance between the host carrier s fare and any one of the monitored carriers fares. To view results in a calendar view (by month), select a Host row of data on the Results grid then right-click and select Calendar from the menu. This will direct you to the Calendar tab. There will be no data if you click on the Calendar tab without selecting a row. Note: The Calendar View will display only dates through the Shopper Duration period specified on the search criteria. If the search is done by using a Monitoring Set, the Shopper Duration is always 180 days. 19 18 May 2015

Calendar view Depending on the display type of the Host row you have selected, you will either see days the host carrier s total fare amount is the lowest or days the host carrier s total fare amount is the highest compared to the monitored carriers. Only days where there is a difference between the host carrier s fare and the monitored carriers fares are displayed on the calendar. If the display type on the selected Host row is H, the calendar will display data only on days where the host carrier s fare is the highest fare compared to the monitored carriers fares. If the display type on the selected Host row is L, the calendar will display data only on days where the host carrier s fare is the lowest fare compared to the monitored carriers fares. If the display type on the selected Host row is E, the calendar option will be disabled. 20 18 May 2015

Calendar box The first fare displayed in the calendar box is the host carrier s data identified by carrier code, fare class, and the total fare amount. The fare displayed below the host carrier s fare is the next highest or lowest monitored carrier s fare (depending on the display type of the Host row). The amount in parenthesis is the variance between the host carrier s fare and the monitored carrier s fare. The monitored carrier s fare is green if the fare is higher than the host carrier s fare, and red if lower than the host carrier s fare. If a day displays no data, this means that the Host carrier s fare is equal to the monitored carriers fares on this day; The display type of the selected row is H and the host carrier s fare on this date is the lower than the monitored carrier s fares on this day; The display type of the selected row is L and the host carrier s fare is the higher than the monitored carriers fares on this day; or The host carrier s fare is not available on this day. Variances The Variances link is available on the calendar box when there is a variance between the host carrier s and monitored carriers fares on that date. Clicking the link will allow you to view the details of all the monitored carriers fares (lower and higher) for that specific date. s are displayed in a row view similar to the Results grid, with the Host carrier row on top and all monitored carrier rows below. Chart View The chart view displays the results in a graphical illustration of the lowest total price of the host carrier and the monitored carriers over the course of time. To view results in a chart view, select a Host row of data on the Results grid then right-click and select Chart from the menu. If you used a monitoring 21 18 May 2015

Lowest Price Comparison The Lowest Price Comparison chart shows the host carrier s total fare amount and the lowest fare of the monitored carriers for each day during a period of time. This means it is possible to have different carriers represent the lowest fare each day for the time period. The thick blue line represents the host carrier s data. The red line represents the lowest monitored carrier s data. Hover When you hover your mouse over any point on the chart, a tooltip displays the variance for each carriers total price for that specific date. Variance When you click a point on the chart, the details of the fares are displayed in a grid view below the chart. The details of the host carrier and monitored carriers fares will change as you click different points of the chart. 23 18 May 2015

Zoom To zoom into a specific time period, select one of the zoom options: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or All. The current zoom level is highlighted in blue. The scroll bar at the bottom of the chart displays data over time. Click either end of the graph and drag in or out to zoom to a specific time period. This will change the view of the main chart to the time period selected. Date Range To view the chart for a specific date range, enter the dates in the From and To date fields located on the top right corner of the graph. Dates must be in entered in DDMMMYY format. Summary View The summary view displays a graphical view of multiple markets in your monitoring set, allowing you to analyze large volumes of data up to 180 days in a single screen. There are two ways to navigate to Summary View: From the Summary View tab, select a monitoring set from My Monitoring Sets or My Organization s Monitoring Sets drop-down menu. The graphs will automatically load upon selection. From the Search and Results tab, select a monitoring set from My Monitoring Sets or My Organization s Monitoring Sets drop-down menu. Then click the Summarize button located in the Search Criteria section. Note: The Summary View is available only for monitoring sets. Each graph displays data from today s date and up to 180 days into the future. Each graph represents a market from the selected monitoring set. The x-axis denotes the date (from today s date up to 180 days) and the y-axis denotes the fare difference amount between the host and the lowest total price. Blue means you are offering the lowest total price, and red means you are not offering the lowest total price on that specific date. 24 18 May 2015

Note: Each graph displays the maximum and minimum fare difference value of the market. Because all graphs are scaled independently, it is important to pay attention to the max/min values to identify the comparative scale for each graph. For example, -10 and -3000 may visually look the same for different graphs, but by looking at the max/min values you can see that each graph is scaled differently from the other graphs. Hover When you hover your mouse over any point on the graph, a tooltip displays the variance of the host and the lowest total price for that specific date. Click any point on the graph to display the market in Chart View. Please see the Chart View topics for further information. Pagination The Summary View displays up to 20 graphs (or markets) per single screen. If the monitoring set has more than 20 markets, use the pagination links on the header to view additional graphs. Excluded s The Excluded s pop-up window identifies any host carrier s fare that is lower than the returned fare but was excluded from the search result. It also shows the reason why the fare was not returned. To navigate to the Excluded s pop-up window, you must first submit the search criteria from the Total Price Comparison Search and Results tab. After the results are displayed on the Results grid, right-click on a Host row of data in the Results grid and then click Excluded s. If no fares were excluded, the Excluded s pop-up window will not display any data. Note: The Excluded s option is currently not available when itinerary is priced one-way. 25 18 May 2015

Market View You may navigate to the data in Market View from the Results grid, Calendar view, and Chart view. When you access Market View from Total Price Comparison, the display will open the Search tab, which is the Market View home page. The search will run for product type PUB and CNP with the specified origin and destination from Total Price Comparison. From the Results grid, right-click a Host row and then select Market View from the menu options. From the Calendar or Chart view, click the Submit to Market View link to search and display data for the specified origin and destination in Market View. 26 18 May 2015

Note: When the details pop up window is opened from an On Demand search, the total amount of taxes, surcharges, and carrier-imposed fees from the Results grid is always equal to the total amount of taxes, surcharges, and carrier-imposed fees on the Details pop up window. However, the total amounts may be different when you view the Details pop-up window from a monitoring set search. This is because the Results grid from a monitoring set displays taxes, surcharges, and carrier-imposed fees amounts that were processed during the last nightly cycle, whereas the taxes, surcharges, and carrier-imposed fees amounts on the Details pop-up window are processed from the last Subscriptions pull. Compare Details You may compare the host carrier s breakdown of the taxes, surcharges, and carrier-imposed (YQ/YR) fees with one of the monitored carrier s breakdown of charges. To compare, right-click on a monitored carrier s row of data in the Results grid and then click Compare Details. The host carrier s charge items will be displayed first, followed by the monitored carrier s details. The host carrier s details are displayed first, followed by the monitored carrier s. 29 18 May 2015
