3 2 You believe that OCR's Dutch supplier is charging too much for delivering cheese to London and you have decided to prepare a budget for OCR to collect the cheese from the Netherlands. Use the information provided in the Case Study to calculate the annual cost to OCR of carrying out these monthly journeys in the 18,000kg GVW vehicle. Show ALL of your workings in and express the total annual cost in both and Euros, to allow comparison with the supplier's price. You MUST name each cost and give your answer to the nearest penny/cent. (10 marks) [Turn over

4 3 With regard to the proposed joint venture with Bangkok Foods Ltd, describe TEN actions OCR would have to take to satisfy the Traffic Commissioner, as minimum Operator Licensing requirements. (10 marks)

5 4 OCR may transport chilled cheese from Moordrecht, the Netherlands to its London base. The board of directors has asked you to advise them about regulations that would apply to this operation. In respect of these proposed journeys: a) Give the name of the international agreement that would apply to this carriage of food AND explain why it would apply (2 marks) b) Outline SEVEN requirements of the agreement relating to the refrigeration equipment, that OCR must consider, before and during its first collection from Moordrecht. 7 6 OCR Foods Ltd has a company policy that drivers must carry out a vehicle walkround check at the beginning of every day. The company employs a nil defect system and uses a standard defect report form for drivers to complete each day. The OCR form is taken from Annex 3A of the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness. The standard form already includes a list of the specific items to be checked on each vehicle. In addition to the list of safety related items to be checked, give SEVEN items of information that should appear on OCR s defect report form. (7 marks) [Turn over
