FACTS Release Notes for Version 11.1 Introduction FACTS 11.1 continues our tradition of providing valuable enhancements to our Enterprise Software application. In this release, more improvements to our graphical (GUI) application have made the system more user-friendly and more feature-rich. One of the first things you ll notice is the fresh look of our home screen, where you ll find that the menu functions are now on the left side, which better conforms to industry standards, and where,users coming from other applications (both graphical and Web-based) will instinctively look. Another thing you will notice is, when running reports, there is now a BROWSE report output. Running a report using this option will present the results in an onscreen workflow window. This new report output enhancement is being included in this FACTS release as a technical preview release of how Carrier Logistics will be turning traditional static reports into true user workflows. Carrier Logistics is continuing to develop this BROWSE report workflow tool with more updates planned for sub-patches to FACTS 11.1. We hope you find these enhancements of value. Once you have identified areas of particular interest, please contact us to set up a low-cost, online training session to review the specifics. If you have any questions regarding any of the features listed in this document, please contact our helpdesk at helpdesk@carrierlogistics.com. Current enhancements to V11.1 should be assumed to be in GUI only. While in some cases they may be in the FACTS Character user interface, Carrier Logistics makes no guarantee that they are available or fully functional in the ChUI version. Also, we should remind our community that while FACTS supports Windows 8, we do not support Microsoft Explorer IE 6 (FACTS Web Module), Red Hat LINUX version 3 (FACTS Database Server or Application Server), nor Windows 2000, 98, and XP. Additionally while we officially have not yet certified Windows 10, early testing has so far shown it to work fine without issues. Windows 10 is planned to officially be FACTS certified for version 11.2. 1

Accounts Payable Modified the Payable Entry function to alert you to possible duplicate invoices when trying to enter vendors with the same name but at a different address. The alert provides the Vendor Number for the invoice number that was paid, which allows you to doublecheck and confirm if a duplicate invoice actually exists. (5244) Accounts Receivable Created a new setting for Documentation type in the Billing (A/R) Customer File, on the Invoicing Details tab, that allows an individual debtor to have the printing of statements suppressed so that only invoices will print. This should be a global setting for those SAAS customers using EBE as an imaging solution. (36) Improved the layout of the Invoicing Details tab in the Billing (A/R) Customer File. (2534) Made the field order for creating a new account more user-friendly in the Billing (A/R) Customer File. (2559) Added additional email addresses to the Billing (A/R) Customer File so that invoices can be sent to multiple addresses. (2646) (70) Billing Added a Link Quote button in Shipment Entry to link a quote to a shipment. Similar to the Qte/Pro button but with the ability to search for a quote. Added a "Rate Log" button to the Billing Profile Maintenance screen (via the Billing (A/R) Customer File). This provides direct access to Rate Log Entry. (2396) Made the Billing Mask more user-friendly. (2648) Added the following additional fields to the Billing Mask. (2410) o NMFC # o Group # Added logic so that when you void a shipment you are prompted to enter a reason as to why the shipment is being voided. (2650) Added a Keyword search in Keywords & Accessorials. (2720) Enhanced Cube/Reweigh Entry by adding: o A (QTY) Quantity field where the input of a number greater than "1" automatically creates as many extra rows as the QTY dictates. The system will apply exactly the same values to each additional row but append the next highest suffix to the barcode field. 2

o A Copy button that allows you to copy any highlighted row. Just like the QTY function, it copies all values and appends the next highest suffix to the barcode field. Enhanced Shipment Entry so that if a shipment with Terms "N (NO CHARGE) is entered, the next bill defaults to "P" (PREPAID) (or whatever value is in the billing control file), thus avoiding the possibility of having the next shipment billed incorrectly. (125) Enhanced Shipment Entry to automatically populate Ready Time, Close Time, and Driver Note from Pickup Call Logging. (2494) Added a check box on the Delivery Note pop-up window in Shipment Entry that allows you to create or update an appointment record. (2517) Added an Excel Export button to the View Audit Data by Date/Table/User function. Call Logging & Dispatch Added logic to the Dispatch by Driver Terminal View to manage TL shipments. Specifically, pickups entered as same-day type shipments will display both the pickup and delivery portion of the shipment in Terminal View (in the lower browser section). When either the pickup or delivery is moved to a new route, both portions will be moved to the new route. Additionally, a new Delivery Option allows you to select if the shipment should be dropped at the terminal, dropped at a yard, or delivered direct. (14) Made an enhancement to show all customer aliases in the Pickup Call Logging customer search. (1275) Added a mechanism to Dispatch by Driver Global View to display alerts to dispatchers when pickups are changed in a way that could impact the pickup. The alert can be applied to changes to Weight, Shipments, Ready and Close Times, and Ready Date. (1279) Added route functions "Drop Trailer" and "Route Update" to right-click functionality in P&D Dispatch. (1281) Excluded terminated drivers from all Driver Lookup lists. (1321) Made the columns in the P&D Dispatch view configurable. (417) Added the Symbol 'E to appear in the [T]ype column on Dispatch views to indicate if the pickup was generated via EDI. (2411) Added a customer lookup from Delivery Maintenance. (2539) Enhanced the Pickup Call Logging search feature for the Shipper, Consignee, and Bill To.(2671) Added the Pronumber field in the Terminal and Dispatch view screens. (106) (500) 3

Claims Enhanced the Claim Activity Recap Report to also show events that do not necessarily result in a Claim. Report Parameters allow you to select Claims, Events, or Both. (129) Made enhancements to the Claims Module so that an event number can be created and passed to the driver for reference purposes. (129) Made an enhancement to capture the following as OS & D notes: Event Entry, Cause Entry, Commodity Entry, Report By, Report On, Terminal, and Received On. Edits to any of these fields will also be captured in OS & D notes. (129) When entering an event, the system will now allow you to access the Claim Notes tab and enter OS & D Notes. (129) Added logic where once a claim or an OS & D note is entered, the system will not permit deletion or additional changes. (129) Whenever a claim is entered into the system, a ProNote is automatically added indicating that a claim has been filed against that shipment. The note includes the Claim Number, Claimant Name, Claimant Number, and Type of claim. (2490) Delivery Planning Added logic to Delivery Planning to aid users by marking a route as "Complete" when its planning has been done. Further deliveries are prevented from being added to the route when it is marked complete. There is also a filter to hide completed routes, if desired. (1283) Streamlined the dispatching of a route in Route Balancing and Sequencing to give you the option of updating route-specific fields: OB Route ID, Driver Number, Tractor, Trailer, and Start Time. Also added direct printing options: Print DRs and Print Manifest. (1318) Added right-click functionality to the Route selection for "Route Shipments" for Route Balancing and Sequencing. (2583) Added Origin Carrier Code field to Route Balancing and Sequencing. (54) Added mouse-driven drag and drop functionality when moving stops between routes. (75) Dock Management Added Pallet Count to the dock Handling Copies. (391) Added Destination Carrier Code to the Exception Manifest for Trailer Unloading. (162) 4

Driver Pay Added fields for Company Drivers (Pay Type = CO) and Leased Operators (Pay Type = LO) to the Trip Earning Recap and made the report downloadable to Excel. (5370) Driver Verification Made an enhancement to Driver Check In/PU Verification to include more of the P&D activity from a driver's day. Each stop now lists the current status code Arrive Time and Depart Time, which can be updated from the screen. (1280) Added logic to process Return Deliveries from the main screen. (2367) EDI Made a change to the On-Hand Report to accommodate EDI 204 entries that can be logged in advance of the pickup date. Previously, the On-Hand Report was picking up the log date; so if a shipment was logged prior to pickup date, it showed a wrong pickup and delivery date. The system is now calculating the due-date based on the date the shipment gets picked up. (213) General Ledger Made changes to General Ledger Inquiries to automatically display details of the journal and, if requested, provide a G/L breakdown of charges against a particular pro. (2572) Improved the display of the Posting (Revenue Extract) report. (2719) Provided a program to unpost posted batches. (437) Highway Dispatch Because notes are often lengthy when viewing from Trip History or from the Dispatch Board, a scroll function was added to the explanation field to permit you to read the entire note. (5255) In the Truckload Dispatch Board, added the ability to change/update the Ready Date and Time when a manifest is split. The system will default the date but give you the ability to update. (5294) Made improvements to the query and display of the Linehaul Dispatch Board. Added a new tab to easily access the Trip Control screen. Also added logic to Trip Notes so when a check box is selected, the system will find all manifests assigned to the selected trip. (2525) 5

Made a change to allow you to create a Highway Route to any Terminal Type, including a Drop type terminal. (134) Made an enhancement to allow the same driver to be assigned to multiple trips in Highway Dispatch. (135) Invoicing Added logic to allow you to specify if a statement is required. (2376). The setting allows: o o o Invoice only (not statement prints) Statement only no individual invoices required Statement & Invoice print Made an enhancement to allow Invoices & Statements to print to PDF. (2509) Added the capability to invoice multiple addresses when emailing invoices and statements. (394) (5125) Logistics Management Enhanced the Logistics Management Board to include a new column called Margin %. The field reflects the profit percentage using the following formula: Total Charges Total Cost = Margin, then Margin/Total Cost to produce a percentage. The result is shown as a percentage at the bottom of the Logistics Management Board in the details section. (67) Improved functionality by allowing you to enter the C/L Pro Number from the Status update screen. (93) Added advanced filters for searching, including Company Code, Preferred Lanes, and No. of Loads Moved. (2365) Added a Truck Finder program that may be used in combination with the Logistics Management system to track historical activity as well as potentially locate a carrier that matches specified geographic criteria. (2365) Modified the program so that when a quote reaches its expiration date, it no longer appears on the Logistics Management Board. (2567) Whenever you create a Contract, the system creates a history record showing that a contract was generated, the output type (Email, Screen, or Fax), and who generated it. We do not track if the transmission was successful via Email or Fax; just that someone generated a contract. (2779) Made an enhancement to the Contract screen by adding both a Ready Time and Close Time on the Pickup Information screen. On the Delivery Information side, we added a Second Time field to allow for a Delivery Window. This information prints on the contract. (40) 6

Whenever you add a carrier using the Carrier button, if that carrier has insurance established but it has expired, the system provides a warning. (63) When creating a shipment for Logistics Management (company code = LOG), the system no longer prompts for a pickup to be entered. (36) Added additional information to the Shipment Notification email, including the Email Address for the Shipper, the Consignee Phone Number, and the Sell Rate. (319) Manifesting Added a column for Pallets to the Exception Manifest for Trailer Unloading. (93) Maintenance Related Added a new export program that allows you to dump the entire Carrier/Agent File to Excel so that you can view and manipulate the data outside of the system (2949) Added validation to the Import Points List/Carrier Points List function. This allows you to validate that the file will load without errors before proceeding with the import. (2523) Made improvements to the Terminal Lookup to include the following fields: Terminal Code, Terminal Name, Terminal Number, City, State, Zip Code, Type, P&D site, Owner, and Telephone Number. (2641) Expanded the User Name field to in User Maintenance to accept more than 20 characters. (2361) Added validation to the Re-Number Equipment function to prevent the creation of a blank equipment record. (1240) New /Enhanced Integrations Created an interface to ProMiles for Fuel Purchase Optimization. (2496) Created an integration workflow with Rand McNally Milemaker HHG. (6) Created an interface to CarrierWeb. (15) Rating Added FSC Rate Customer" to the Customer FSC Matrix program. Entering an alternate FSC Rate Customer Number will point FSC rating to the alternate FSC Customer Number, making setup potentially easier.(1230) 7

Added Weight-Based Pallet Pricing. (93) Adjusted the Rates Export format to match the Rates Import format. (2497) Enabled a "Carrier Discount after Calculation" switch at the Carrier level so different carriers can be assigned the D83 Discount functionality independently. (2558) Added "Disc After D83 Calc" to Carrier/Agent File to control the method of applying a "Discount % From D83". (1534) Updated Rate Maintenance so that when you update the rate, you get prompted for a Reason Code. You can confirm the Reason Code or you can change it and add the note. This eliminates the step of having to go into Rate Log Entry and updating the reason. (2601) Added a "Delete All" button to Carrier/Agent Points & Zone that will delete all carrier points for the selected carrier. (2603) Added a "Delivery Zone" field to Points List Maintenance. (2624) Added consolidation logic to the Pre-Invoice Consolidation Rules program to allow you to look up a list of master pros and sub pros created for auditing purposes. (5143) Added FSC (Fuel Surcharge) Exempt field to Rate Table Maintenance. (2522) Improved the ability to read the current Lane Exceptions and Rate Exceptions by creating a default display of only those line items that are currently effective. You retain the choice to display "All or "Active", similar as in Keyword Exceptions. (2569) Created a Customer Lane Exception Import utility. (330) Added a utility to allow the import of Carrier Rates via a CSV file. This is a similar utility to the existing Import Customer Rates program. Reports Made enhancements to the online Performance report to display the Charge Customer and the ability to drill down to details from each record. (1191) Added the C/L Reference Number and Delivery Date to the Excel export of the Billing Recap Report. (1393) Added fields for Origin C/L Number and Destination C/L Number to the Billing Recap Report. (1390) Made the following reports downloadable to Excel: o Delivery Exception Report (416) o Cash Receipt Partial Payment Report (5252) 8

If the trip is after the ETA, the Arrived on Time would indicate YES. If not, it would indicate NO. (5300) Made enhancements to the On-Hand Report: o Added the Linehaul Arrival Date (256) o Added the Shipment Number o Added the Carrier Reference Number (51) o Added the ability to call the report from the Scheduled Reports utility (139) Added two new columns to the Carrier Splits Report: Interline Charge (the carrier split without the accessorial charges factored in) and Accessorial (the total accessorials on the shipment that accrue to the carrier). The link to the more detailed shipment breakdown is still retained. (2481) Added Phone Number to the Excel version of the List Appointments Report. (2519) Added the ability to run the Quote Report based on a keyword. Up to three keywords can be entered at a time and the system will only present quotes that contain any of the specified keywords. (5155) Added a new report, Sales Total by Year, which displays the A/R Amount by Year, Period, Carrier Code, Customer, and Reference. It matches the amount in the A/R Distribution by each G/L code. (1534) 9

Security Enhanced A/R, A/P, and G/L Login functionality so that they are automatically disabled, preventing the user from changing the accounting year and period, if existing programs are open that require corresponding A/R, A/P, and G/L Logins. (2716) Web Added the ability to display A/R aging for all accounts for a particular salesperson in the Sales Details Web module. The system will permit salespeople to select a particular account that allows them to drill into a detailed aging screen similar to the Customer Inquiry A/R Aging screen for the selected customer. On that same screen will appear a display of all the A/R Notes that have been entered. In addition, an "Add" button has been added so that the salesperson can add notes via the Web. (92) On the Monthly Sales Analysis Web report, a check box has been added to the Weekly and Monthly reports that will allow you to include the sales credited to other sales reps. (1179) Added a check box to show customer accounts that are currently assigned to another ser. The details prevent a potential issue when it appears that you have a revenue drop when a customer is reassigned to another sales rep. (1192) Changed the Salesperson Quote Alerts to send a.pdf file rather than WRI file. (1183) Added more information to the email generated from the Web for a Rate Quote. (2754) 11
