Uniclass CI/SfB L4 (90.4) Sg2 TredWay The easy-lay modular paving system
OVERVIEW Unique modular base designed for fast and easy laying TredWay TredWay is a lightweight, low profile weather and frost resistant modular paving system, which has transformed the way in which tiles are laid. It can be used for terraces, balconies, roof gardens, podiums - in fact anywhere an instant high quality paved area is required. With its very low structural depth, TredWay is ideal for all projects where height is a concern, especially at door thresholds and low parapets where a traditional option may take up at least twice the space. It is simple to install, essentially maintenance free and water-permeable to allow integration with existing drainage systems. The TredWay system uses a unique modular rubber base to carry a range of stone cast tiles, aluminium outlet covers and drainage grilles. The modular base pad has also been designed to reduce airborne and impact sound through the system. This is especially important where a terrace or roof balcony is above a habitable space. Tredlite is a variation of the TredWay system; it is lighter, has an even lower profile and uses marble granules mixed with a binder to create a unique paved surface. TredWay and Tredlite give you a wide range of colours and textures to meet any design requirements. Can be easily installed, providing a protective and high quality finish to any external balcony or terrace surface Tredlite: Marble granule compound TredWay: Precut stone cast tiles TredWay and Tredlite can be installed directly onto existing or new waterproofing layers such as asphalt, felt, single ply and cold applied waterproofing. ISO 14001/ ISO 9001 compliant Acoustic noise reduction approx. 2dB 2
Internal or external applications Hard-wearing and durable surfaces Applications Fast, low-cost refurbishment of balconies, terraces, patios, courtyards, roof gardens and podiums Ideal for new construction In sales, presentation areas and exhibition stands, TredWay can be loosely laid on existing floor surfaces, easily removed and re-used Other inlays can also be used including wood, metal and glass For swimming pool surrounds, non-slip plastic tiles are available on request A range of accessories can be integrated into your design Key Benefits Completely frost resistant Long lasting and durable Low structural height (ideal for refurbishment applications where height restrictions may apply to doorway openings, parapets etc.) Fast and simple installation - suitable for the DIY market High impact sound insulation - excellent acoustic qualities Precise joint and tile positioning Water-permeable with drainage grooves to allow integration with existing drainage systems Lightweight and easy to handle Suitable for refurbishment and new construction Can be laid over existing substrate saving time and cost Essentially maintenance-free Easy to clean Excellent aesthetic qualities Wide range of colours and textures Replacement tiles available UKAS accredited and compliant with Approved Document E of the Building Regulations Warranty and Approved Contractors Radmat can provide an approved contractor service throughout the UK. Sustainability Production of TredWay modular matting is very clean and has been awarded the environmental certificate ISO 14001. Waste is eliminated through re-processing of all off-cuts which means no waste material contributes towards landfill. The method of manufacture means there is Zero Ozone depletion potential and Zero Global Warming potential. TredWay matting is made from recycled material such as post consumer tyre rubber and is itself 100% recyclable.
INSTALLATION The TredWay system incorporates a unique waterpermeable, modular rubber base. Raised ribs allow precise and consistent location of the tiles and provide a ready-made black or grey joint finished flush to the surface of the tile. TredWay TredWay uses a precut tile that is adhered between the ribs of the modular rubber base. There is a standard selection of stoneware tiles available; however, providing the tiles are of the right thickness and cut precisely, almost any tile material is suitable for the system - including timber. Install modular rubber base pad directly onto new or existing waterproofing. 1. 2. Fit and cut base pad to entire area. TredWay low 1mm profile 4
. Lay the ceramic tiles into pre-formed grids. Installation guidelines available on request Tiled area ready for use. 4. Fast, easy installation
Installation guidelines available on request Tredlite Tredlite is a lightweight granular stone pebble system. Marble granules are mixed with a binder and worked in between the ribs of the rubber matting. When the binder hardens the result is an attractive hard-wearing textured finish. There is a standard selection of finishes available; however, because of the nature of the system an infinite variety of finishes is achievable depending on the granules used. Install modular rubber base pad directly onto new or existing waterproofing. 1. 2. Pour resin binder into preferred marble granule selection. 6
Thoroughly mix resin and granules for a few minutes.. Trowel mixture into the grid of the base pad and leave a smooth level surface. 4. Potential for infinite bespoke designs Finished surface needs to be protected for 24 hours after laying.. Tredlite low 20mm profile 7
