Constellium Ideas shaping the world History The history of our company started in 1909 with the founding of an engineering plant by Bergmann-Werke, specializing in the production of electric motors and cables from copper. In the 1950s the plant gradually shifted to the extrusion of aluminium products and its alloys and it operated under the name of Kovohutě Děčín, n.p.. In 2000, after the merger Alusuisse group with the Canadian group Alcan Inc., the Děčín plant was integrated into the newly established business unit of Alcan Extruded Products. The transformation of the company was completed in January 2002 by changing the business name to Alcan Děčín Extrusions s.r.o.. Year 1991 was an important milestone for the company, when it connected with the Swiss group AlusuisseLonza Holding AG, which allowed our firm investment development, introduction of new technologies important for meeting the increasing demands of the customers on one hand, and also entry to foreign markets in Europe on the other hand. This new company operated as Aluminium Děčín s.r.o., and since September 1997 further as Alusuisse Děčín s.r.o.. Another milestone in the plant history was January 2004, when Alcan group merged with the French group Pechiney. This generally strengthened position of the Alcan Extruded Products on the European market, and besides 4 existing plants 5 additional production plants in France and Germany were integrated. Děčín plant was dedicated to be primarily oriented to the markets of Central and Eastern Europe in the area of soft alloys, as well as to fully serve all European market of the hard alloy products. Our position within the Alcan group allowed us to exploit possibilities for transfer of best practices, for joint development, as well as support by Research & Development Centre in French Voreppe in the area of alloys and extrusion technology, and also the finishing operations. Automotive Industry Distribution The last key moment in our history was January 2011 when major stake in Alcan EP were sold to American investment group, Apollo Investment Fund VII, L.P. This investment group is the leading shareholder; the other owners are Rio Tinto and the Fonds Stratégique Investissement. A birth of a brand new identity - Constellium - was a part of this process. This new name symbolizes the new trend of the group focusing on innovative alloys, technologies and markets. Since September 2011 the Děčín plant has been operating under the name Constellium Extrusions Děčín s.r.o.. Constellium Extrusions Děčín s.r.o. 3

Constellium Extrusions Děčín is engaged in manufacture of extruded aluminium semi-products from hard alloys. Bars Bars are manufactured in all basic shapes, i.e. round, square, flat and hexagonal. Special shapes can be produced according to customer s request. Constellium Extrusions Děčín can deliver either extruded or drawn bars in a more precise finishing. Outline of our products export Company s Profile Constellium Extrusions Děčín s.r.o. is engaged in manufacture of bars, tubes and profiles made of extruded aluminium alloys. These parts can be subsequently processed by drawing and by different heat treatment modes to achieve the required mechanical values. For these purposes, Constellium Extrusions Děčín operates 10 extrusion lines in range of 6.3 MN-35 MN, which allow direct and indirect extrusion. The extruded products can be cut to shorter lengths according to the customer s request and depointed. Further processing (machining, drilling, grinding, etc.) or surface treatment of the extrusions (anodizing and painting) can be arranged via external partners. Germany Czech Republic France Switzerland Italy Austria Hungary Spain Europe - others World - others Profiles Hard alloys profiles can be produced as solid or hollow from all our standard as well as customized alloys. Not only the customer s requirements on the shape, tolerance and mechanical properties are respected, but also the good machinability. We offer production technology of direct and indirect extruding, including finishing operations such as cutting and depointing. Tubes Manufacturing of tubes is among real specialities, because, with the existing equipment and long-term know-how, we belong to a few producers in Europe who can supply tubes produced by both extrusion technologies with a variety of properties (seamless tubes extruded over mandrel and porthole extruded). Extruded tubes can be further processed by cold drawing. Constellium Extrusions Děčín produces a number of alloys, which are characterized by good machinability and chip free-cutting, but also conform to European directives 2000/53/EC and 2002/95/EC. These are alloys in both 2XXX and 6XXX series, alloyed by bismuth, tin and in the limited degree by lead (below 0.4%). These include alloys AA 6064A, EN AW 6262A, 6023, 2015A, etc. We also offer alloys with better machinability thanks to optimized material structure (e.g. EN AW 6082). 4 5

Automotive A permanent trend in the field of automobile production and cargo transport is the constant weight reduction leading to fuel savings. This can be achieved primarily through use of lighter materials like aluminium as well. In addition, aluminium is a fully recyclable material, which generally has a great importance for protection of the environment. Use of light weight materials in the automotive industry means reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions of greenhouse gases. Products of Constellium Extrusions Děčín are used by subcontractors of leading car manufacturers. Constellium Extrusions Děčín supplies bars, tubes and profiles in a wide range of alloys, including customer modifications. Products from aluminium alloys provide very good conditions for cold-forming, good machinability, possibility of surface treatment and also good weldability. This makes the use of our products possible for various special solutions, such as construction and safety components, media conducting parts, etc. Systems for set-up of steering wheels, safety belt tensors, airbags, shock absorbers, braking and stability systems, air conditioning units, suspension parts, silent blocks are some examples of the specific applications. 6 7

Industry Engineering is a very important industrial field, where our products are used in particular for manufacture of machinery parts machined on the CNC centres. Very good workability allows high productivity process while maintaining the required mechanical properties. Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity. It is lightweight, easy processible and machinable. It is corrosionresistant. Products of Constellium Extrusions Děčín are increasingly establishing in more industrial sectors and applications. Application of our products is also very important in the industrial sectors, such as manufacture of sport and leisure time equipment, electronic and textile industry, manufacture of abrasive and wood-processing tools or hydraulic and pneumatic elements. The optical industry is another interesting market, for which we have developed special alloys to achieve high quality of anodized surface. These materials are applied as parts of telescopes, sporting weapons sights and optical camera systems. Also the cooling industry demands aluminium extrusions by a greater extent. Various requirements are put to all industry market products, such as good bending, electrical conductivity, gas tightness, increased surface quality, possibility of surface treatment, weldability, shape stability, etc.. 8 9

Distribution Finishing Operations We fulfil the customers demands for additional treatment and finishing of our extruded products in co-operation with established external partners. Most often it includes cutting at an angle, milling, drilling, CNC machining and various surface treatments. In these cases it is necessary to consult these requirements with our experts during the enquiry process. We offer the following finishing operations: Distribution - flexibility in products, wide assortment and short lead times. depointing drilling cutting (cutting at an angle) milling chamfering various types of CNC machining anodizing painting marking by print or stamping Distribution is another segment for our products. Our customers have located their distribution centres all around Europe to address the logistics complexity and to simplify the way of aluminium extrusions to the final customer. This network of stocks and warehouses provides not only the sales of our products in small volumes and short lead times, but also just in-time deliveries to the automotive industry. Our manufacturing process is not finished by extrusion or drawing of aluminium semiproducts. 10 11
