About Quality Equipment 50 YEARS Quality Equipment manufactures and supplies specialised pig equipment and buildings. Based in Woolpit, Suffolk we have been servicing the UK pig industry for over 50 years. During this time we have developed and introduced equipment and systems with the purpose of constantly improving animal welfare combined with efficiency and profitability for the pig farmer. With this in mind we are at the forefront of new developments in both straw and slurry based accommodation. Recently this has focused more and more on the environmental impact of the pig industry and increased consumer awareness. Divisions & Gates Paneltim Panelling Paneltim is a 51mm thick cellular structure polypropylene panel which is used for pen divisions, gates, removable divisions and wall cladding. Standard panels are 1.00m high and are generally supplied made to measure, tailored to each individual layout. The material is strong, robust and durable. Manure does not stick to it making it very easy and fast to clean, saving both labour and water. After several years Paneltim still looks as though it was only recently installed. We use all stainless steel fixings when installing Paneltim for strength and durability. Water System Drinkers and Water System Water is often referred to as the forgotten nutrient. We pride ourselves in a wide range of drinkers, bowls and troughs as well as wet feeders ensuring that water is always available at the required quantities. Water intake can limit or stimulate feed intake and, therefore, has a strong influence on growth performance. Our first choice is stainless steel drinkers, pipes, brackets and fittings. The height adjustable drinker bar ensures that the bite drinkers can be adjusted to the ideal height for the growing pig. We stock a wide range of drinkers, bowls and fittings enabling us to deliver within a short period. Header tank stands and specialised watering troughs are manufactured in our workshop in Woolpit. 8 Fresh clean water freely available for every pig
Catwalk 50 YEARS Catwalk A central raised platform is widely used for stock control without physically interfering with the pigs. This raised platform further serves the purpose of topping up the straw bedding right in the heart of the pig s lying area. Or simply as single use stock control catwalk. The platform / catwalk is plywood on a timber frame supported by a galvanised steel support structure. Making work and stock control easy 9
