MONTHLY UPDATE OF HOTSPOT COUNTS (1 st Jan 31 st August 2009) The statistical counts of hotspots detected in the southern ASEAN region (Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand) for the period 2006 to 2009 (up to 31 st August) are depicted in the following charts. The counts are based on the hotspots detected by the NOAA-18 and NOAA-19 1 Satellites. A.
