Epoxy coating will be according to below scheme: Thickness coating layers: Zinc Inorganic 2,5 mils Epoxy Varnish Adhesive 2.0 mils Epoxy paint finish 16 mils Total thickness 20.5 mils (0.5mm) Acc. to AAS standard, color pipes must be Green RAL 6027. Above ground pipes will be protected against external corrosion. Pipes must be provided with External Epoxy paint acc. to AWWA C-210 Norm acc. to previous scheme. Repainting time are maximum 12 hours between coats, except bridge coating because will be acc. to advice manufacturer for a better adhesion. All materials (pipes and fittings) ends must be without coating, considering 100 mm calculated from bevel edge. End coating must be bevelled on 45º in angle. For Air Pipes it s necessary: Line number and flow direction, letters have to be on black color (RAL 9004) in a white sash/belt (RAL 9003) on the pipe. Maximum space between sash/belt is 10 [m]. Inspector: Mr. Tom Tu Page : 6 of 19 INSPECTION ACIVITIES 1. Visual Inspection. Included coating, pipe ends, markings. Result: Conditional Accept. Actual found that, the letter size was 4cm height for pipes 16, 18 and 20. The letter size was 2 cm height for pipes 3 and 4. As the client provided packing list, which required the letter size: 12 cm height for pipes bigger than 4 and 6 cm on minor pipes. 2. Dimension Inspection Result: satisfactory 3. Ends of the pipes Result: Conditional Accept As requirements, all pipes ends must be without coating, considering 100mm calculated from bevel edge. End coating must be beveled on 45 in angel. However, the length of uncoated ends were about 100mm for pipes 18 and 20. The length of uncoated ends were about 85mm for pipes 3,4 and 16.
