history Involved in our history

history Families have their history and ours started in 1974 when Robert van Keilegom founded Belgium Ventiel. The business was initially geared towards stocking valves. In 1981, the business started manufacturing its own high-tech valves. It aimed to achieve a high standard of service and quality, and the company was rewarded for its efforts when it obtained the ISO 9000 certifiicate. In 2008, this solid foundation was passed on to son-in-law Geert van Mechelen. In order to meet the growing demand for our products and solutions Geert van Mechelen, Leen van Keilegom, Marc Goos and Els van Keilegom decided to expand abroad and change the company name into Belven. Belven LCC operates in the Russian market. Our sales and service centre in Moscow is responsible for the local HVAC and industrial market. The stocks are kept in Moscow and Krasnodar, which means we are also close to our Russian customers. We also operate on the Asian market. The offiice of our sister company Belven Oriental is located in Hong-Kong and handles the sales and supplies for the Belven companies and the South-East Asian markets. Belven China in Tianjin covers the Chinese markets. At the same time, Belven has been attracting new employees who are needed in order to maintain our high level of innovation, manufacture and sales & marketing. 14-15

Belven Foundation Involved in corporate responsibility Belven is devoted to the welfare of our employees. After all, they form a major part of our success. We, as a business, also want to give something back to society, as it has given us the opportunity to prosper. We invest, for example, in the Belven Foundation, which aims to inspire young talented pupils to start a career in engineering. We work together with schools and provide materials and installations to enrich the school s curriculum. The new Belven training centre is the ideal training facility where new and future employees can have a taste of the exiting world of valves. A healthy mind in a healthy body is the foundation s idea of enriching the social environment by way of sports. We support various sports organisations and offer our employees the opportunity to take part in sports events that are highly valued from a social perspective. And finally, the foundation also supports young artistic talent in the arts. 16-17
