Not being associated with one particular supplier we can call on a number of vendors to offer a complete portfolio of product from high volume precision press forgings, closed die forgings up to 250Kg, open die forgings, ring rolled parts and machined components for a wide variety of industries. Working with our global partners in an exchange of technical expertise and best forging practice, we aim to deliver a complete managed supply solution for our customers. supply solutions Our customers specific supply requirements vary greatly and we manage each by providing a tailored service package for each. Whether it s a fixed batch quantity, scheduled requirement, managed inventory, just-in-time or kanban supply, we are able to work in a way to best suit our customers needs. By conducting the processes of design, through forging to final product in-house we can best manage an efficient supply chain to our customers door. With a global customer base we have extensive knowledge of exporting and shipping our products worldwide.
processes CAD/CAM design Our design and programming systems enable us to create the forge drawing, translate it into a 3D model and communicate that data directly to our high speed 3-axis CNC die cutting machines. die manufacture Our in-house die machining produces tooling to the highest accuracy and finish, and provides a fast turn around for sinking of dies. forging Our machines range in size from a 0.5 tonne power hammer up to our 7 tonne counterblow hammer giving us the capability of producing forgings ranging from 100g up to 120Kg in weight. We work with carbon, alloy and Duplex stainless steels as well as a forging a number of products in copper. On our 4 upsetters we can forge shafts and pinions with upset diameters of up to 220mm. machining Over recent years we have invested in our CNC machining facilities, which now include vertical machining centres and turning centres as well as conventional machine tools, all operated by a fully skilled workforce. assembly & fabrication A variety of equipment enables us to heat, bend, braise, weld, turn, drill and thread parts for final assembly.
products & services mining Working with alloys that provide toughness, bend and crack resistance, we produce a variety of flightbars, straps, dumbbells and railway Safety critical components such as drawhooks and coupling assemblies. automotive Low volume parts, such as hinges, steering arms and upset forged drive shafts for truck, bus and prestigious vehicle applications. off highway Drop forged countershafts and upset forged transmission shafts delivered in a forged or machined condition. defence Tow hooks and towing pintle assemblies for MOD vehicles along with a range of associated parts for the defence industry. fluid power Valve bodies, pipe couplers and flanges in alloy steel and stainless materials form the bulk of products supplied to the offshore oil and gas industries. materials handling From simple lifting hooks to more complicated components for tail lifts and fork lift trucks. general engineering We hold over 1,200 sets of dies and consume 5,000 tonnes of steel a year, producing 450 different parts. If it can be forged, machined or assembled then Brockhouse can provide the right solution.
