1. Program Overview is a career transition program to support professionals who want a bridge between past achievements and future job growth opportunities in the new economy!

1. Program Overview PURPOSE: seeks to connect experienced professional talent with opportunities in the NEW ECONOMY. This is not a job placement program but a career development program! Our Michigan economy is being reinvented with changes coming from globalization, e-commerce, alternative energy, new technologies, etc. Careers have to be reinvented to keep talent in our state and to build and retain innovative businesses in our new economy.

2. New Economy Career Development In search of new directions... Fire in the belly to make a value-added difference that grows a business; Discontented professional talent in search of opportunities and challenges; Proven track record of experience and educational achievements;

New Economy Career Development is BEST suited for professionals who: Most Important - WANT TO MAKE A CAREER TRANSITION Have a deep desire to learn Are committed to working with a comprehensive career development approach Moderately Important - Between the ages of 40-60 (but also appropriate for 35-70+ ) Preferred minimum of 4-year degree with successful track record of professional achievements

5. Application Process 1. Sign up and attend a Michigan Shifting Gears webinar 2. Submit application, resume, and program fee of $500 via application link that is e-mailed directly to you following the webinar 3. Complete an online Career Transformation Assessment 4. Review results in a one-to-one 45-minute Professional Career Coaching session

Pre-Program Career Transformation Assessment and Professional Career Coaching 1. Schedule a SKYPE or phone call to review your Career Transformation Assessment results; specific instructions will arrive by email. 2. Identify strengths and opportunities for development 3. Create goals for Career Transformation Action Plan 4. Reflections and feedback on session
