MEDIA INFORMATION 2011 EDITORIAL/PUBLISHER 1 Short Characterization BIOspektrum 2010/2011 higher, faster, further BIOspektrum is the leading journal of the publisher Spektrum Akademischer Verlag, which is a part of Springer Verlag Heidelberg since October 2009. Since foundation in 1995, BIOspektrum expanded increasingly. This positive development was even enhanced by its relaunch in 2006. The magazine BIOspektrum reflects an intensive exchange of the active scientific disciplines as a collective publication of the leading professional societies in molecular biological research (GBM, VAAM, GfG, GfE and DGPT) and of the partner organizations in the field of biotechnology (VBU & DECHEMA) as well as of the umbrella organization VBIO.
