GROUP GOALS Freight Planning Coordination Efforts (OARC Freight Working Group Pilot) GROUP GOALS Strengthen collaboration with ODOT and FHWA in freightrelated matters. Improve communication between regions as it relates to infrastructure investments that affect multiple regions. Improve understanding of key freight related needs throughout the state. Assist ODOT in implementing recommendations of Statewide Freight Study and Access Ohio freight related recommendations. Strengthen relationships with private stakeholders (shippers, carriers, warehousing industry). Strengthen relationships with airport, port authorities, interregional transit services, and railroads (CN, NS, CSX). Leverage freight facilities across the state for Ohio s continued growth in the logistics sector. Improve and share data and information (as appropriate).
