AAPBase 2005 Software is Comprehensive and Easy to Use About AAPBase 2005 Software AAPBase 2005 was developed for use by AAP professionals who require a comprehensive and robust tool for developing AAPs in house. AAPBase 2005 includes all of the previous capabilities in JOBase Professional Suite plus the new integration of Census 2000 data for headcount analysis, and the ability to generate an electronic AAP. Robust Software Platform Built on a robust Microsoft Visual Foxpro platform, AAPBase 2005 software is highly flexible and scalable to accommodate companies ranging from small, single AAP sites to large, multi-site, multi-state organizations. AAPBase develops multiple AAPs, EO Surveys, EEO-1 and Vets-100 reports using a single data base. The relational database management feature saves time and ensures the accuracy of your data. Changes or revisions to data are immediately relayed to every applicable record. For example, if a job title is added, deleted, or modified, this action will affect every relevant record in the database, and, if the headcount changes, every report displaying these workforce numbers will reflect these changes. Getting Started Standard File Formats Setting up your data for import is easy. More than 20 formats, including MS Excel, and ASCII can be used. Microsoft Excel Newco 71 04wk.xls Import Wizard Importing data is accomplished by using AAPBase s straightforward Data Import Wizard. You are guided through the process of identifying the type of data you are importing, locating the import file, identifying the fields in your file, verifying the date format used, and finally, importing the data into AAPBase. If the Import Wizard finds problems in your import file, the issues are shown and you are allowed to quickly remedy them. After import, AAPBase compares the data entered to a required list. Mapping AAP Job Titles to Census 2000 Occupations Mapping Job Titles to Census Data AAPBase 2005 includes Census 2000 data for calculating the availability of minorities and women in relevant recruiting areas. To obtain the most accurate calculations, company job titles are mapped to standard occupations used in the 2000 Census. After mapping and recruiting areas are indicated, AAPBase 2005 can automatically calculate the availability data for all the Job Groups in your company s AAP. Availability Availability data is a key factor in developing accurate Affirmative Action Programs. AAPBase s 2-Factor availability form provides all the automation and flexibility you need to quickly develop availability estimates. You may identify up to four internal and four external factors to fine-tune the availability for minorities and women - all independently weighted. By examining your promotion activities, Internal Factor 1 is automatically generated by AAPBase.

AAPBase uses Census 2000 Data for Labor Force Analysis Census Data External availability estimates are calculated using Gerstco s integrated census tool - CENSBase. A single click opens CENSBase and automatically identifies and weights the census occupations for AAP job groups. You need only indicate whether you want to focus on occupations, industries, education, or earnings, then identify your geographic recruiting area(s). Automatic Headcount Calculations After selecting your Census Populations (above), headcounts are instantly calculated and can be streamed directly into the waiting 2-Factor Availability form in AAPBase. You are then ready to generate Incumbency to Availability reports and all other AAP reports.

Applicant Tracking Applicant Tracking Tool A unique feature of AAPBase is its ability to act as a powerful applicant tracking tool. Applicant support is built into the system so that analyzing hiring practices can be done in a single system rather than going back and forth between your AAPsoftware and your applicant tracking system. Reconciling Your Applicant Data When an application results in a hire, a connection needs to be made between the two activities. This connection is required to produce the Impact Ration Analysis and Statistical Significance reports for hires. The process of connecting hires to their associated applications is call reconciliation.

Compensation Analysis AAPBase can accurately test for pay equity using job group means, medians, job title, and Cohort Analysis methodologies. Impact Ratio Analysis (IRA) To determine if there is any adverse impact in a selection process, the Impact Ratio Analysis requires the selection rates of minorities and women be compared to the selection rates for non-minorities and men. Using personnel activities in a specific time period, AAPBase accurately tests for adverse impact using the 80% Rule and other statistical formulas.
