The fibres meet the requirement in nota Q (see point 15) The glass wool fibres are bonded with thermosetting resin and added oil for dust binding, in addition the binder has been modified with organic starch or thermo set inert polymer bonding agent derived from plant starch. Possible facing materials: Glass mat, aluminium or Kraft paper. 4. First aid measures 4.1 Description of first aid measures: Inhalation: Remove from exposure. Rinse the throat and blow nose to clear dust Ingestion: Rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water. Skin contact: If itching occurs because of mechanical effects of the fibres, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin gently with cold water before washing with soap and water. Eyes contact: : If eye irritation avoid rubbing and rinse with water for at least until the irritation is gone. 4.2 Important symptoms and effects: Skin contact may cause short-term itching. If any adverse reaction or discomfort continuous from any of the above exposure, seek medical professional advice. Page 2 of 8

5. Firefighting measures ISOVER Glass wool is non combustible Packaging materials or facings may be combustible. 5.1 Suitable extinguishing media: Water, foam, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), and dry powder. Accident release measures 6.1 Personal equipment, protective equipment and emergency procedures: In case of presence of high concentrations of dust, use the same personal protective equipment as mentioned in section 8. 6.2 Environmental protection: Not relevant 6.3 Method for cleaning up: Vacuum cleaner or dampen down with water spray prior to brushing up. 6.4 Reference to other points: See point 13 for disposal. 7. Handling and storage 7.1 Precaution for safety handling: Unpack ISOVER glass wool on a hard place immediately before use. Avoid unnecessary handling of unwrapped product If cutting material use sharp hand tools and avoid power tools. Keep work areas clean. Ensure adequate ventilation of workplace. Use water spray to dampen area prior to sweeping or use vacuum cleaner Page 3 of 8

7.2 Storage: Store products removed from pallet and packaging or loose un-palletised product, in a dry location. Packaging material: Delivered packed in polyethylene film, or cardboard and/or wooden pallet 8. Exposure control/personal protection 8.1 Control parameter: WEL (Work Exposure Limits) 5 mg/m³ 8-hour TWA (gravimetric) and in Denmark 1 fiber/ml (respirable) 8.2 Exposure control: No specific requirements. Individual protection equipment s Respiratory protection: When working in unventilated area or during operation which can generate emission of any dust, wear disposable face mask. Type in accordance with 149 FFP1 is recommended. Fresh air mask should be used if there is no ventilation and personal presence is necessary when products are heated above approximately 150 C for the first time. Hand protection: Gloves to avoid itching in conformity with EN 388 Eyes protection: Wear goggles when working overhead. Eye protection to EN 166 is advised. Skin protection: Cover exposed skin with dust rejected clothing at especially dusty work. Regulatory information 15.1 Specific requirements for ISOVER Glass Wool according to safety, health and environment: The European requirement no. 1272/2008 concerning the classification, labelling and packaging (CLP): The glass fibres meet the requirement in directive 97/69/EC note Q and are not classify as hazardous substances. Mineral wool (glass, stone and slag wool) are not classified under the European Regulation on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures ( CLP Regulation Regulation EC n 1272/2008) which is the European implementation of the international Globally Harmonized System ( GHS ) 16. Other information The glass wool fibres of this product are exonerated from the carcinogenic classification according to the European directive 97/69/CE and the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 as they fulfil the criteria of the nota Q. All products manufactured by Saint-Gobain Denmark A/S ISOVER are made of biosoluble fibres and are third party certified by EUCEB. EUCEB, European Certification Board of Mineral Wool Products - www.euceb.org, is a voluntary initiative by the mineral wool industry. It is an independent certification authority that guarantees that products are made of fibres, which comply with the exoneration criteria for carcinogenicity (Note Q) of the Directive 97/69/EC and the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008. To ensure that fibres comply with the exoneration criteria all tests and supervision procedures are carried out by independent, expert qualified institutions. EUCEB ensures that the producers of mineral wool have put in place self-control measures. The mineral wool producers commit to EUCEB to: supply sampling and analysis reports established by laboratories recognized by EUCEB, proving that the fibres comply with one of the four criteria of exoneration described in Note Q of the Directive 97/99/EC, Page 7 of 8

be controlled, twice per year, of each production unit by an independent third party recognized by EUCEB (sampling and conformity to the initial chemical composition), put in place procedures of internal self-control in each production unit. The products responding to the EUCEB certification are recognized by the EUCEB logo put on the packaging. EUCEB is an ISO 9001:2000 certified association. Moreover, in 2001, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, re-evaluated and reclassified mineral wool (insulation glass wool, rock(stone) wool and slag wool) from Group 2B (possibly carcinogenic) to Group 3 «agent which cannot be classified as for their carcinogenicity to humans».
