PRE-FEASIBILITY REPORT 1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY M/s SHREEJI BAPA DYE CHEM is having existing CTE and CTO of the GPCB for manufacturing of S.O. Dyes and proposing expansion project @ 110 MT/Month of S.O. Dyes, located at Plot No. 1319 & 1320, PHASE-III, GIDC, Vatva, Ahmedabad- 382445 The project falls under category B, section 5(f) of EIA notification 2006 and amendment thereof. The site is well connected with road and railway, nearest city Ahmedabad and there is no national park, wildlife sanctuary, eco sensitive areas in surrounding 10 km radius. The project doesn t fall under CRZ boundaries. 2.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT BACKGROUND INFORMATION 2.1 Identification of project and project proponent. M/s. SHREEJI BAPA DYE CHEM proposing expansion project @ 110 MT/Month of S.O. Dyes, located at PLOT NO 1319 & 1320, PHASE-III, GIDC, Vatva, Ahmedabad- 382445 M/s SHREEJI BAPA DYE CHEM is a Proprietorship firm. 2.2 Brief description of nature of the project. The project falls under category B, section 5(f) of EIA notification September 2006 and amendment December, 2009. Hence Environmental Clearance is applicable to the proposed project. 2.3 Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region To meet the demand of Local & international market. The unit will put best efforts to employ local people depending upon the availability of skilled & un-skilled man-power. In operation phase, the proposed project would require significant work force with nontechnical and technical background. Employment to skilled & unskilled worker will result in increase their standard of living & expenditure power. 2
2.4 Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to the project The proposed project will give direct employment to local people based on qualification and requirement. In addition to direct employment, indirect employment shall generate through ancillary business to some extent for the local population. 3.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION 3.1 Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects, if any. There is no interlink project. As M/s. SHREEJI BAPA DYE CHEM is planning for expansion of existing business at Plot. No 1319 & 1320, PHASE-III, GIDC, Vatva, Ahmedabad-382445 and applying for EC. 3.2 Location (map showing general location, specific location, and project boundary &project site layout) w i t h coordinates. Major factors involved in the selection of site are listed below: Proposed project site is in the Vatva Notified Area. The project site is located on level ground, which does not require any major land filling for area grading work. Proximity to Raw Material suppliers. Site is very well connected by road and railway. Availability of Power, Water, etc. Common CETP & TSDF & MEE facility are available. 4

We shall procure the raw material from domestic & international market by roads& sea. For finished Product we will use Road & sea transportation. Raw materials detail as per Annexure-I 3.6 Resource optimization / recycling and reuse envisaged in the project, if any, should be briefly outlined. 5
ETP shall provide for treatment of effluent and dispose to CETP, Vatva after achieving the desired norms. Process treated water shall use for washing & scrubbing in spray dryer scrubbing system to reduce the water consumption rate. 3.7 Availability of water its source, Energy/power requirement and source should be given. Water Source: The source of water for the proposed project shall meet through GIDC Supply. Electricity and Energy Requirement: Electricity shall be obtained from Torrent Power Ahmedabad. Wood/White Coal/PNG shall use as a fuel for Boiler, HAG & Spray Dryer. Diesel will be used as a fuel for D.G set. Waste Water generation & Management plan Total water requirement for the proposed project will be 47.8 KLD. The total waste water generations from Industrial will be 31.800 KLD. 24.5 KLD of effluent shall be treated in ETP and treated effluent shall dispose to the CETP, Vatva. Industrial process waste water @ 7300 lit/day will be discharged to MEE, Vatva. 2.2 KLD Domestic effluents shall be disposed to Soak pit. Details of water consumption and waste water generation as shown in Annexure IV. 6

4.3 Existing land use pattern (agriculture, non-agriculture, forest, water bodies (including area under CRZ)), shortest distances from the periphery of the project to periphery of the forests, national park, wildlife sanctuary, eco sensitive areas, water bodies(distance from HFL of the river), CRZ. In case of the notified industrial area, a copy of the Gazette notification should be given. There is no forest, national park, wildlife sanctuary, eco sensitive areas in surrounding 10 Km of the plant boundary. CRZ is not applicable to the project. 4.4 Existing Infrastructure The unit is having existing infrastructure to manufacture the S.O Dyes. 4.5 Soil Classification NA proposed project is in GIDC area. 4.6 Social infrastructure available. Depending on the growth of the company the required social infrastructure will be provided. 5 PLANNING BRIEF 5.1 Planning Concept (type of industries, facilities, transportation etc) Town and Country planning/development authority classification. There is no proposal to make any new kind of connectivity. 6.3 Drinking water Management(Source & Supply of water) Water for drinking will be met from GIDC supply. 15
6.4 Sewerage System Domestic waste water will be disposed in to soak pit. 6.5 Industrial Waste Management The unit have membership of CETP & MEE of GESCSL, Vatva for effluent disposal. The unit also Having membership of Society for Clean Earth, Vatva for effluent disposal. Industrial process waste water @ 7300 lit/day will be discharged to MEE. Washing and other diluted streams after treatment @ 24500 lit/day will be discharged to the CETP, Vatva, Ahmedabad. 6.6 Solid Waste Management ETP & Process waste shall discharge to TSDF site of CETP (GESCSL), Vatva, Ahmedabad and Eco Care Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. Surendranagar. Membership certificates are enclosed. 6.7 Power Requirement & Supply/Source Electricity shall be obtained from Torrent Power Ltd. The total power requirement for the proposed project is 200 KW. We are also using solar energy (25 KW) 7.0 REHABILITATIONAND RESETTLEMENT(R & R) PLAN Not Applicable 8.0 PROJECT SCHEDULE & COSTESTIMATES 8.1 Likely date of start of construction and likely date of completion (Time schedule for the project to be given). We are having existing facilities of manufacturing of S.O. Dyes. 8.2 Estimated Project cost along with analysis in terms of economic viability of the project. Total Project Cost for proposed project activity is Rs.0.80 crores. 16
9.0 ANALYSIS OF PROPOSAL (FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS) 9.1 Financial and social benefits with special emphasis on the benefit to be local people including tribal population, if any, in the area. The project will be prove time by time for beneficial to the people as the company progress and expands its activity. By CSR activity company management will committed to improve infrastructural facilities for the local people like Educational facilities, Medical facilities, and Transportation facilities etc. as well the local people especially tribal population will be taken as employers which will improve the socio economic environment to the area.
