They can be applied quickly and easily using standard CD or ARC stud welding equipment. ALLIANCE weld pins are available in several different styles to cover a wide variety of application requirements. Some of the factors to consider concerning the style needed for your application would be the base metal type, size and surface condition, and also the welding equipment to be used. They can be applied quickly and easily using only a pytty knife and ALLIANCE Hanger Adhesive. ALLIANCE Hanger Adhesive is available in 1 gallon cans. The coverage is approximately 500-1000 standard anchors with 2" x 2" plate per 1 gallon can. ALLIANCE Self-locking Washers are used in conjunction with ALLIANCE weld pins, insul-anchors and lacing anchors to fasten insulation in place. Simply press the self-locking washers onto the pin up against the insulation until the desired position is reached and then clip off, or bend over, the remaining portion of pin for a permanent attachment. The choice between Round or square self-locking washer is basically a matter of aesthetics or personal preference. The domed, multi-lanced hole design provides for ease of locating washer on weld pins and positive self-locking. Some styles of washers are manufactured with a beveled edge to prevent the washer from cutting into the insulation facing.
