Flat bars MKM supplies flat bars from 20 x 2 mm to a maximum width of 210 mm and thickness of 20 mm, thus covering the entire range in this segment. Besides offering the full assortment of standard dimensions, we also provide a wide variety of intermediate sizes. The flat bars can be manufactured with rounded or square edges as well as with half-round sides. Our flat bars are chiefly used in switchgear construction in the area of low and medium voltage but also for power distribution systems (bus bars), transformers, a wide variety of electrical components, and for electromechanical engineering applications. Depending on the specifications and the wishes of the customer, we can also supply our bars with reduced hardness levels compared with the standard specifications. MKM flat bars have excellent flexural properties and are therefore suitable for a wide variety of uses. The major standard sizes can be supplied ex stock if required urgently. We also provide flat bars as tin-coated versions to serve the needs of our customers even better. ound bars / square bars MKM supplies round bars in sizes from 6 mm to 165 mm for a wide range of electrotechnical applications. Besides the primary material ETP, we are also increasingly supplying customers with OF and OFE bars for high-quality requirements, such as in vacuum technology. Copper bars can be manufactured up to 152 mm in diameter as a drawn version with a very good surface and restricted tolerances and in hardnesses and strengths according to customer specifications. Thanks to the high MKM copper quality and a special alloy known as V-Copper as well as a straightness of 1 mm/m, our round bars are suitable for machining on modern high-performance automatic lathes. ound bars for lathe shops can also be supplied with chamfered ends on request. By performing a separate eddy current test, it is possible to guarantee a faultless surface for special requirements. Furthermore, we supply CuSP (sulphur copper) bars with particularly good machining characteristics. Thanks to the quality of the material, MKM copper bars are perfect for customers wishing to perform special technological processing, like cold extrusion. Besides drawn bars, MKM also supplies a large assortment of extruded bars for the hot stamping (forging) of copper workpieces. Square bars which can be supplied as drawn versions up to 100 mm square as well as hexagonal bars complete our range. Profiles MKM is increasingly developing into a supplier of profiles in particular sophisticated profiles manufactured according to drawings. The profiles can be supplied as extruded or drawn versions up to a maximum cross sectional area of 10,000 square millimetres. With this supply of special profiles, our customers can find efficient tailored solutions for their products and achieve material savings. When it comes to manufacturing complex profiles from drawings, we are able to draw on our many years of expertise plus our own tool production facilities with modern wire eroding equipment. Our technicians look forward to advising you personally in order to work out the appropriate delivery specifications.
