Destinations > Where do we operate? Origin is a truly global business. As such we are a multi-cultural business with offices and logistics services throughout the world. Our ambition is for Origin to provide the most intelligent, comprehensive and trusted range of services for all our clients globally. logistics solutions >> A presence across all six continents >> Serving over 200 ports globally

History > What is our background? We have a wealth of specialist knowledge within our team, coupled with an impressive client roster that have been using our services since our inception in 2006. As part of the Cardinal Maritime Group, we have expanded and developed our service range and now offer LCL/FCL and air freight services. We ve always had a strong focus on providing turn-key, project and specialised services and now combined with LCL/FCL and air freight, we can provide any solution for any cargo. We re proud that our market share has steadily increased and we ve achieved this with long term support from our existing clientele, with whom we have developed strong relationships. These relationships have developed due to Origin always delivering reliable and strategic solutions, but our transparency with clients has been vital to building lasting relationships with trust.

Experienced > Unrivalled empirical knowledge Albert Einstein said, Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience. Having information is simply not enough. Our unparalleled experience to understand how to get the most from your information and then to be trusted to deliver your goods is what sets us apart. We have over 100 years combined experience in the specialist project & out of gauge/heavy lift field. Founded back in 2006 as part of the Cardinal Maritime Group, Origin is now regarded as one of the most trusted and respected UK owned multimodal service providers within its field. Tapping in to this wealth of knowledge and experience, combined with excellent communication is why our impressive client roster trusts us implicitly and keeps coming back time after time. Trust lies at the heart of the Origin brand and philosophy, trusted to understand, trusted as the safest pair of hands, trusted to be transparent at all stages of the logistics chain, and trusted to get it there on time. No matter what the size, no matter what the deadline we ll get it there, on time. Simply put, our customers trust us to get the job done and we do. logistics solutions

Trusted > See for yourself Our market share has continued to grow since we first opened our doors in 2006. We rely upon our client recommendations and their word of mouth to do the talking for us. As a multi-cultural brand operating across all six continents, our aim is to keep providing transparency and strict neutrality at all times, building relationships and earning trust along the way. This helps us to seamlessly slot into any link within your logistics chain; whether you are the shipper, the receiver, or a fellow industry agent who needs to tap into our specialised and unrivalled knowledge in the out of gauge / heavy lift field. To us it s all about honesty, transparency and an absolute trust in Origin s integrity for getting the job done and delivered on time. At Origin we work hard to build for the long term.

Customers > who do we work with? We work with a mix of manufacturers and fellow industry agents. We provide strict neutrality along with competitive pricing and a reliable trustworthy service. We know that deadlines are important but we also understand that honesty is equally imperative. We only accept work when we re certain we can achieve the final goal. Luckily it s very rare that we turn work down we almost always find that solution! logistics solutions

Case Study > who have we worked with Case studies showing the scale and diversity of tasks undertaken. 1. Carlsberg UK bottling plant factory relocation to Coca Cola Kenya > We were assigned the task of moving a bottle washing plant from Carlsberg to its new owners, Coca Cola, in Tanzania. We collected everything from the factory and took it to Tilbury for export packing. We then shipped the project cargo to Tanzania. Each loose dismantled piece measured in excess of 5m x 5m. In order to meet the company s down time schedule, we collected everything over a weekend resulting in little or no disruption to the plant. The heavy duty timbers used in the export packing process had to be specially sourced and cut by a timber manufacturer in Scotland.

Case Study 2. 112 ton offshore cable reels from Newcastle to South Africa > Five of the biggest of cable reels, 112 tons apiece measuring 4.5 metres high needed to be moved from Newcastle to Cape Town. Giving us a tight deadline of 30 days wasn t the issue, but securing a vessel with suitable gear to lift such a weight certainly was! Working day and night, the job was accomplished well ahead of our client s scheduled deadlines. logistics solutions

Case Study 3. Building bridges between USA & Scotland > There s no such thing as an ordinary day here at Origin. Because we specialise in out of gauge, project and heavy lift shipments, the extraordinary is our bread and butter. It will come as no surprise then, that when we were contacted about shipping an entire bridge from New Jersey in the USA to Cannich in Scotland, we jumped at the opportunity. This time critical movement had to be delivered to the site in Scotland in the exact order it was to be constructed. Once the bridge was installed we had the task of returning the specialist launch and erection equipment used during the construction back to New Jersey. With so many factors in the balance, one mistake would have had a knock-on effect throughout the project, but by implementing our bespoke planning process and predicting and heading off potential problems before they arose, we were able to see it through exactly as requested; all in a day s work for the Origin team.
