Finishing: Finishing options are located on the main screen under the [Finishing] tab. There are two available finishers: The FS-534 staples up to 50 sheets. The FS-535 staples up to 100 sheets. w/sd-511 w/sd-512 Sort: Sorted sets will place pages in order of page 1, 2, 3, 4 Group: Grouped sets will consist of all page 1 s as a set, all 2 s, all 3 s Half Fold: You can [Half Fold] 3 sheets at a time of 8 ½ x11, 8 ½ x 14 and 11 x 17 paper. Center Staple and Fold: [Center Staple and Fold] up to 20 sheets at a time of 8 ½ x11, 8 ½ x 14 and 11 x 17 paper. Tri-Fold: Fold up to three sheets at time of 8 ½ x 11 landscape orientation only. Offset: Offsetting your copies will stagger each set by one inch on the finisher when completed. Hole Punch: [2-Hole] and [3-Hole] punch are available as options. Folding: [Half Fold], [Center Staple and Fold] and [Tri-Fold] are available as an options. 3

Choosing Auto Color, Full Color, Black, 2 Color and Single Color: Auto Color: This setting tells your machine to differentiate between color and B&W originals. B&W originals will be copied and metered in B&W; color originals will be copied and metered in color. Full Color: This setting tells your machine to treat all copies/prints as color copies (not recommended due to high cost). Black: This Setting tells your machine to copy ALL ORIGINALS in B&W. 2 Color: This setting will copy the colors present in an original to one color, while leaving black (i.e. text) the same. Single Color: This setting will take all color and black from an image and alter it to a single color. 4

Reducing and Enlarging: -The easiest way to reduce or enlarge is to place your original in the document feeder and then select the size paper you would like your copy to be. For standard sizes, the machine will automatically adjust the image to fit the new size. -You may also reduce or enlarge by selecting a [preset]. -You may also select your percentage manually by pressing [Zoom]. From there, you can manually enter your desired percentage via the [Keypad]. Increments as small as.10 (1/10 th ) of a percent can be entered. 5

Special Application Copying: Book Copying: 1 From the main [Copy Screen], select [Application]. 2. Scroll and select [Book Original]. 3. Select [On]. This feature enables [Non-Image Area Erase] (which allows you to keep the document feeder open. It also enables [Centering], which allows the copier to detect the center spine of your book. 4. Choose [Separation] to place each page on a separate copy or select or select [Book Spread] to combine both pages on to a single sheet. 5. Once you have selected your options, press [Ok]. 6. Press the [Start] button to begin scanning. 7. At this time, you may scan subsequent pages of your original book. 8. Select [Finish] when scanning is complete. 6

Booklet Making: Booklets can be made on 8 ½ x 11, 8 ½ x 14 and 11 x17 1. From the default [Copy Screen] select [Application]. 1. Scroll and select [Booklet] under the (E tab, labeled [Layout]). 1. Select your options and press [Ok]. 2. Load your originals in the document feeder in consecutive order, portrait orientation. 3. Press Start. Booklets can be made on 8 ½ x11, 8 ½ x 14 and 11 x 17 paper. Paper must be loaded in landscape orientation. 7

Inserting Cover Sheets: You can insert cover sheets, which may look different from pages within the body, before the first page and after the end page of the original. The front and rear cover sheets can also be a different paper color and thickness from pages within the body. 1. Load your originals in the document feeder 2. From the [Copy] screen select [Application]. 3. Scroll and select [Cover Sheet] (Tab F [Tailoring]). 8

4. Choose your desired settings. Load the paper you would like to be used as a cover sheet in a paper tray and select that tray when at this screen. Settings Description ON/OFF Front Cover Back Cover Select ON to specify Cover Sheet. Inserts a front cover. [Front (Copy)]: Copies the front page on the front sheet. [Front (Blank)]: Inserts a blank front sheet. [Paper]: Select the paper used for cover sheet. Use the same size cover and body sheets, and stack them in the same orientation. Inserts a back cover. [Back (Copy)]: Copies the last page onto the back sheet. [Back (Blank)]: Inserts a blank back sheet. [Paper]: Select the paper used for back sheet. Use the same size cover and body sheets, and stack them in the same orientation. 5. Select [OK]. Select [Close] to return to the Main Copy Screen. 6. Press [Start]. 9

To send a fax directly Faxing and Scanning: 1. Load the original 2. Select [Scan/Fax]. 3. Select [Direct Input] and select [Fax].. 4. Enter desired fax number. 10

5. Configure the option settings for fax as necessary. 6. Press [Start] To send an Email directly: 1. Load the original. 2. Press [Scan/Fax]. 11

3. Select [Direct Input] then select [Email]. 4. Enter the desired email address. 5. Configure options for your scan if necessary. 6. Press [Start]. 12

Saving Fax numbers and Email Addresses (using the copier): 1. Press [Menu]. 2. Select [Utility]. 3. Select [Create One-Touch Destination]. 4. Select [Address Book]. 5. Select [Email] or [Fax]. Email or Fax 6. Enter the information for your destination and select [OK]. 13

Saving Email Addresses and Fax Numbers (from a PC): 1. First, obtain the IP address from your copier. 1. Press [Menu]. 2. Select [Utility]. 3. Select [Device Information]. The IP Address is located on line IPv4. 2. Open a new web browser window. 1. Type the IP address into the address bar and press [Enter]. 3. Click the orange mailbox or [Store Address] to edit, delete or add [One-Touch Registrations]. 4. Select a [One-Touch] to edit, delete or select [New Registration]. 14

5. For a [New Registration], choose what type of [One-Touch] you would like to create ([Scan], [Fax] etc). One-Touch options are listed here (Fax not shown). From the above screen you can add email addresses, fax numbers, user boxes etc EMAIL EXAMPLE: 6. Enter the necessary information and select [OK] Note: Enter a name, index location (selecting [Main] will put the contact on your favorites screen) and email address. 15

Secure Print: The Secure Print function allows you to set an ID and password for print data and to save the data in a box (Secure Print User Box) on this machine. Because the data is not printed within a short time period, this function prevents printed materials from being missing or left unattended. Since you need to enter the ID and password from the touch panel to print the data saved in the box, this function is particularly suitable for safely printing highly confidential documents. To use Secure Print from the computer: 1. Within [Properties/Preferences] select the [Basic] tab. Go to [Output Method] and select [Secure Print]. 2. Enter an ID and Password then select [OK]. Select [OK] and execute printing. The data is saved in the [Secure Print User Box]. 16

1. Press [Menu]. 2. Select [User Box]. Retrieving a Secure Print document from the Copier: 3. Select [System] [Secure Print]. 4. Enter the document ID and password, then select [OK]. 17

5. Highlight a file to print and then select [Print]. Select [Select All] for multiple documents. 6. Set print options if necessary. 7. Press the [Start] key. 18

To Create a User Box: 1. Press [Menu]. 2. Press [Utility]. 3. Select [One Touch/User Box Registration]. 4. Select [Create User Box]. 5. Select [Public] or [Personal User Box]. 6. Select [New]. 7. Input a [User Box Name]. 8. Input a password. Note: ID and password are case sensitive. - If you do not want a password skip this step. 9. Reenter password. 10. Select [Forward]. 11. Highlight the desired [Auto Document Delete Time]. 12. Select [OK]. Make note of your User Box No. you will need it if you wish to save to your User Box from your PC. 19

To save a document into a User Box (from the copier): 1. Load the original. 2. Press [Menu]. 3. Press [Box/User Box]. 4. Specify a [User Box] to save data. If the [User Box] is password protected, select [Open] to enter the password. 5. Select [Save]. 20

6. Select save options if necessary. 7. Press the [Start] key. The file is saved. 21

To Print or Send a Document from the User Box: 1. Press [Menu]. 2. Press [User Box]. 3. Select desired [User Box] and press [Open]. 4. Highlight the document you wish to print/send. 5. Select [Print] or [Send]. 22

6. If sending, select your destination(s) and options. 6. Press [Start]. 23

To save a document in the User Box (from a PC): 1. Go to [File>Print]. 2. Press [Printer Properties]. 3. Under [Output Method], select [Save In User Box]. 4. Press the [User Settings] button directly underneath the [Output Method]. Give the file a name you would like it to save as. You will also need to enter your User Box No. from earlier. 5. Press [OK] twice. You will see your file save to the [User Box]. 24

Account Track: NOTE: Using the Account Track function requires accessing the Administrator Mode of your MFP. It is recommended that you consult with a representative of Blue Technologies before enabling Account Track. Using the Account Track function allows you to manage multiple users by account. Account Track information is logged internally by the MFP. A password can be set by account to restrict users from using this machine. Also, this function allows you to restrict available functions or manage the use status of this machine by account. To turn Account Track on or off (from the copier): Note: Account track must also be enabled on your PC s print driver. 1. Press [Menu]. 2. Press [Utility]. 3. Select [Administrator Setting]. 4. Enter password 1234567812345678 or 12345678. 5. Select [OK]. 6. Select [User Authentication/Account Track]. 7. Select [General Settings]. 8. Select [Account Tracking] and highlight [On]. 9. Select [Account Track Input Method] and highlight [Password Only] or [Account Name & Password]. Settings Description [Account Name & Password] Enter the account name and password to log in. When using user authentication and account track in combination, the setting cannot be changed from [Account Name & Password]. [Account Name & Password] is specified by default. [Password Only] Enter only the password to log in. 10. Select [OK]. 11. Select [Yes] to clear all data. 25
