A Project Snapshot 1. Reconfiguration and Debottlenecking of Marsden Point Refining NZ Using expertise from New Zealand, China and USA, an integrated WorleyParsons team delivered a substantial component of the front end engineering and design for the brownfield process modifications, infrastructure and oil movement elements to support the installation of new and debottlenecked process units significantly increasing processing capacity at the refinery. 2. TERAX Hydrothermal Deconstruction plant Rotorua District Council TERAX is an innovative, new technology developed in New Zealand to treat and dispose of organic waste streams more cost effectively and sustainably by reducing the volume of waste requiring disposal at landfill and recovering valuable carbon and nitrogen compounds for fertiliser and energy applications. Following the completion of successful pilot scale studies, Rotorua District Council engaged WorleyParsons as an EPCM provider to design and project manage the first full scale TERAX tm facility. 3. Development of Nature s Flame Pellet Plant Solid Energy The design and construction of a pioneering new, fully operational processing plant for converting waste sawmill and wood processing by-products into pellets suitable for domestic burners and commercial boilers involved large scale project management and coordination of many sub contractors. By adopting a performance based contract mechanism, WorleyParsons effectively managed all key deliverables with a high performing plant. 4. Mangahewa Expansion Train 2 (MET2) Todd Energy As EPC contractor, WorleyParsons moved seamlessly from practical construction, installation and hookup to pre-commissioning of this modularised process plant. WorleyParsons innovative approach with the monolithic foundation slab, modular pipe racks, and construction led engineering under a risk/reward contracting model resulted in an excellent outcome in project delivery performance. The contract was completed ahead of schedule and under budget with over 350,000 man hours completed without a lost time incident. 5. Briquette Plant Development Solid Energy WorleyParsons expertise and experience with the successful development of innovative, pilot scale technology into commercial operations is attracting growing attention and respect in New Zealand. The successful design and build of Solid Energy s demonstration plant for a new lignite briquetting process in Southland, was completed by WorleyParsons working alongside the overseas technology provider. 6. Power Station Demolition Port Taranaki To enable the repurposing of the land occupied by the decommissioned New Plymouth Power Station WorleyParsons was engaged to advise and oversee the sustainable and safe demolition and disposal of the facility. By applying innovative contract mechanisms and rigorous contractor management, the team has recovered significant resource value from the site, while at the same time delivering the project with high levels of care for the community and the environment.

1 Whangarei Auckland 2 New Plymouth 6 4 10 3 7 Hastings 7. Eastland Port Marine Development 8 Wellington Eastland Port Preparing an effective long term development plan for Eastland Port that appropriately addresses operational constraints and infrastructure resilience risks required WorleyParsons to complete a series of technical studies covering dynamic supply simulation, wave analysis and structural surveys, as well as geotechnical and geophysical survey specification. Further technical and commercial support was provided to support consent applications, design procurement and construction work packages. 5 9 Christchurch 8. Winery Development Delegat - Oyster Bay Developing a state-of-the-art 20,000 tonnes winery for one of NZ s largest wine makers required the successful delivery of form and function and all in time for the 2006 vintage. WorleyParsons design team incorporated efficient process flows, scalable production economies and superb design detailing to achieve one of the country s most technologically advanced wineries. Subsequent upgrades, delivered each season, have addressed increased capacity and blending requirements with further tanks, services and wastewater treatment systems added to the winery. 9. Clandeboye Dryer 2 Plant Upgrade Fonterra The $10m capital investment has returned a 16% increase in milk powder production. Designing, constructing and commissioning three new air heaters for Fonterra s Clandeboye Dryer 2 Plant within a challenging eight month window and a fixed end date for milk production start up, required smart thinking to fast track the design and construction. 10. Integrated Services Contract (ISC) Shell Todd Shell Todd has a Goal Zero approach - no harm to people and protect the environment.
