Admiralty Digital Publications

Admiralty Digital Publications What are Admiralty Digital Publications? Admiralty Digital Publications (ADP) are a collection of digital versions of the UKHO s industry leading Admiralty Nautical Publications, used by mariners around the world. ADP has been designed to meet SOLAS carriage requirements and, where approved by the vessel's Flag State, can replace the requirement for carriage of traditional Admiralty paper publications. ADP currently includes; Admiralty TotalTide (ATT) the world s most comprehensive tidal prediction program, the digital equivalent of 4 paper volumes of Admiralty Tide Tables. Admiralty Digital Radio Signals Volume 6 (ADRS6) - maritime radio communications information for pilot services, vessel traffic services and port operations for 3000 separate service locations worldwide. The digital equivalent of 7 paper publications which equate to Admiralty Radio Signals Volume 6. All three digital publications are provided on a single CD and can be individually licensed, installed, used and updated via a single common interface that is quick and easy to use. Admiralty Digital List of Lights (ADLL) - light and fog signal information on more than 70,000 unique structures from across the world, the digital equivalent of 11 paper volumes of Admiralty List of Lights.

Features and Benefits The Future of Navigation Admiralty Digital Publications enable the mariner to make the transition from traditional paper publications to a new digital alternative. ADP forms part of the UKHO drive towards the digital future of navigation and complements the digital chart range of Admiralty products and services. Official Data you can Trust All applications within ADP have been designed by the UK Hydrographic Office to meet the stringent navigational requirements of the commercial mariner. The data content is exactly the same as that provided in the equivalent paper publications but the digital format allows more flexible ways of viewing and searching for information. Compliant The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCGA) and many other Marine Regulatory Authorities accept ADP as meeting the requirements for the carriage of official nautical publications to support the planning and execution of a voyage under the Merchant Shipping Safety of Navigation Regulations 2002. Fast & Efficient Updating All applications are sold fully updated at the time of purchase and updates are provided electronically via the internet, email or CD every week as part of the subscription price. The updating process is completed in seconds, greatly reducing time and effort spent in manual correction and minimising the risk of human error. Backup Licence Each ADP application includes a second backup licence provided free of charge to ensure that a vessel is never left without access to essential navigational information. Global Coverage All ADP products provide true global coverage divided into 10 regions to provide flexibility and simplicity of purchase. Full, up to date details of Marine Regulatory Authorities granting equivalence for ADLL, ATT and ADRS6 are available on the UKHO website at www.ukho.gov.uk

Admiralty TotalTide Admiralty TotalTide is the world s most comprehensive tidal prediction program providing fast, accurate tidal height and tidal stream predictions for over 7,000 ports and more than 3,000 tidal stream stations worldwide. Instant Port Predictions Admiralty TotalTide enables you to select and simultaneously calculate tidal heights for multiple ports for up to seven consecutive days. Improved Situational Awareness Real time tidal stream rate and direction predictions can be overlaid on the detailed chart-based display and updated every 60 seconds to maximise situational awareness. Visual Display for Safe Port Entry Predictions are enhanced by the calculation of periods of safe port entry based on vessel draft and masthead height. Results are clearly displayed as a diagram and summarised on the tidal graph. All information is displayed in the familiar format used in the paper Admiralty Tide Tables. Special night and twilight display options ensure optimum visibility at all times. Updating The UKHO is continually updating its worldwide database of harmonic and non harmonic continents. This database contains over one million tidal constants and, in line with the Admiralty Tide tables, updates are issued on a annual basis. Mariners using Admiralty Total Tide to meet carriage requirements for tidal publications must ensure that the latest available version is used. Tidal Extremes The extremes page provides information on the minimum and maximum tidal heights across the selected calender year. Coverage 1-4 Europe, Northern Waters and Mediterranean 5 Red Sea, the Gulf & Indian Ocean (northern part) 6 Singapore to Japan & Philippines 7 Australia & Borneo 8 Pacific Ocean, New Zealand, N & S America (W coast) 9 North America (E coast) and Caribbean 10 South Atlantic and Indian Ocean (southern part)

Admiralty Digital List of Lights ADLL is the world s most advanced source of light and fog signal information available to the international mariner. Providing full details of over 70,000 individual structures world wide and equivalent to the UKHO s paper Admiralty Lights List. Simple Intuitive Interface All information is displayed both in the traditional and familiar tabular form used in the paper publication and in a geographical window using familiar chart symbols. Match Trading Patterns ADLL can be customised to match your trading patterns. Lights can be grouped and saved in special user-defined files to enable users to quickly retrieve information for specific routes and trading areas. Toolbars, screen layout and views can all be tailored to suit your operational requirements. Updating The use of digital technology allows the ADLL dataset to be updated quickly, accurately and with a minimum of manual intervention. Compared to the paper equivalent this represents a major time saving. Comprehensive Search Facilities The database can be searched either using the geographic window, text strings or geographic positions. Full Print and Export Facilities The details of lights and fog signals can be both printed and exported into a range of other applications such as MS Word and MS Excel for use in operational and navigational activities such as passage planning, with 100% accuracy. Coverage 1+2 Northern Europe and the Baltic 3 Northern Waters 4 Mediterranean and Black Seas 5 Red Sea, the Gulf & Indian Ocean (northern part) 6 Singapore to Sea of Okhotsk & Philippines (W coast) 7 Australia, Borneo and Philippines (E coast) 8 Pacific Ocean, New Zealand, N&S America (W coast) 9 North America (E coast) and Caribbean 10 South Atlantic and Indian Ocean (southern part)

Admiralty Digital Radio Signals Volume 6 ADRS6 provides mariners with access to comprehensive maritime radio communications information for port services, vessel traffic services and port operations for more than 3000 service locations around the world. With the content equivalent to the UKHO s paper Admiralty List of Radio Signals Volume 6 and updated on a weekly basis by CD, email or via the internet it represents a major advance in the delivery and use of navigational information. Simple Intuitive Interface All information is displayed both in the traditional and familiar tabular form used in the paper publication and in a geographical window using clear symbols and text. Match to Trading Patterns Service locations can be grouped and saved in special user-defined files based on specific routes or trading areas to enable fast retrieval of information. Toolbars, screen layout and views can all be tailored to suit your operational requirements. Updating The use of digital technology allows the ADRS6 dataset to be updated quickly, accurately and with a minimum of manual intervention. Compared to the paper equivalent this represents a major time saving. Comprehensive Search Facilities The database can be searched either using the geographic window, text strings or geographic positions. Full Print and Export Facilities The details of ADRS6 can be both printed and exported into a range of other applications such as MS Word and MS Excel for use in operational and navigational activities such as passage planning, with 100% accuracy. Coverage 1+2 UK & Northern Europe (Die Ems to Gibraltar) 3 Northern Waters, the Baltic & Germany 4 Mediterranean & Black Seas 5 Red Sea, the Gulf & Indian Ocean (northern part) 6 Singapore to Sea of Okhotsk & Philippines (W coast) 7 Australia, Borneo and Philippines (E coast) 8 Pacific Ocean, New Zealand, N & S America (W coast) 9 North America (E coast) & Caribbean 10 South Atlantic & Indian Ocean (southern part)
