Microrite, Inc. brings you this unique learning experience in Auditing Microbiology Media Suppliers; Part of Microrite s step-by-step webinar series. Auditing Microbiology Media Suppliers More often than one would presume, growth on microbiology media may not be representative of product quality or environment. Dehydrated media are made by media companies and are considered in-vitro diagnostics. Media suppliers prepare liquid and solid media from purchased dehydrated powder media. Dehydrated media is not necessarily sterile, it the processes that it goes through at the media manufacturer that makes it sterile and conducive to use for the microbiology laboratory. There are many steps and precautions that need to be taken by the ready to use, microbiological media supplier that will dictate the success of microbiological testing. Learn how to step by step audit your microbiological media supplier to ensure validity of your microbiology test data. When? March 12 th, 2014 1:30pm to 3:30pm Eastern Standard Time Which industries does this webinar apply to? Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Medical Device, and In Vitro Diagnostics Who will benefit? Quality Assurance, Quality Control Microbiologists, Materials management, Purchasing and Training personnel

March 12 th, 2014 Benefits to the participants: Discussion on incoming media related FDA observations Receiving dehydrated media and storage conditions Quality control procedures for accepting dehydrated media Does a powdered medium have to be used until it expires? o Disposal methods and documentation Agar media-preparation methods o Precautions o Dispensing errors o Storage conditions Packaging Irradiation Quality control before shipping Inspection and rejection Shipping conditions Accompanying certificates Handling complaints Quality Systems Who will be teaching?
