STANDARD ROOF It can make a conventional roof by applying the layer or layers of ChovAFOAM, to the adequate thickness, directly on the support or interspersing a separating geotextile GEOFIM low basis weight between plates and support. Roof composition: - Mortar/concrete layer. Protect and slope formation. - Separating layer. GEOFIM 150 or higher - Insulating layer. (Self-protected sheets) (Slopes between 1 and 15 ) According to CEC, solutions Roof type: 4.1.8 According to Standard UNE 104401: 2013, Solutions of tables: 8, 9 and 10. Note - The composition of these layers is defined in the "CEC" and "UNE 104401: 2013". So much for the "inverted" to the "conventional" roof. Page 4 of 7

Insulating layer performance conditions. Once waterproofing membrane is executed and the tightness or service test done, should apply the separating layer, with a simple geotextile extension. Since no chemical incompatibility exists between asphalt membranes and XPS isolation, geotextile layer required no special specifications. Geotextiles can be polyester, polypropylene, glass fibre felts, etc. (There isn t also incompatibility with PVC sheets XPS, EPDM, TPO, etc.). Panels application. Single layer Applied to any needed thickness, from 30 mm to 80 mm. The panels of suitable thickness according to the DB-HE will spread over the separating layer, ensuring that there are no gaps or spaces between them, in any case greater than 3 mm, covering the whole horizontal roof surface. Preferably, apply in a staggered way. Panels will be cut with knife or cutting element to adjust them to encounters, construction details, etc. Taking care not to damage other elements of the roof, as the waterproofing membrane, for example. Later, as soon as possible, the separating layer and the heavy protection shall apply, to act as ballast, especially if the action of wind, rain, etc. is expected. Panels application. Two or more layers Applied to any needed thickness, over 60 mm. The appropriate total thickness may also be obtained by applying two or more layers of panels, with the same or different thicknesses, as long as their sum equals the necessary under DB-HE. 1st layer will extend as indicated, and then the 2nd layer will be extended on 1st. The panels of the 2nd layer will start its application cutting them approximately in half and displacing from the 1st layer, so that no matching the joints between both layer panels, If more layers, the defined process will be repeated. Shall be obviously maintained, the single layer precautions in the previous case. Moreover, the application of the total thickness of insulation in two or more layers, provided equal or better performance achieved against a single layer. For the following reasons: - In two or more layers, displaced staggered, thermal bridges are virtually non-existent; - The sum of the Thermal Resistance (RD) of two or more panels, always equals or exceeds the value obtained with one equivalent thickness to the total layers panel. This is seen in the values of RD, declared in the "DoP" panels regards, standards certified by AENOR. Warnings. Cover or protect before the end of the day, from sun and wind effects. Both after applications and even stored in the roof outside the usual packaging. FLAT ROOF.- (Slopes between 1 and 15) - PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY Roofs, intended to support restricted pedestrian traffic. (Only admissible case). Indicated above is valid, but must ensure the stability of the entire system against sliding. Page 5 of 7

SLOPING ROOF.- (Slopes between 15 and 40 ) Sloping roof with Heavy protection. With discontinuous elements. Roofs designed to drain water using the slope and finished with discontinuous coverage items (tiles, etc.). - NOT WALKWAY Roofs, with tiles protection, or other discontinuous elements on battens. According "CEC" solutions, Roof type: 4.1.9. (see DB-HS1). For. 4.1.11 and 4.1.12 types, ventilated roofs, it is also permissible to use XPS panels as insulation, according to project. According to Standard UNE 104401: 2013, membrane type, MI-T. Support conditions in Sloping Roofs. On the waterproofing membrane, adhered and mechanically fixed to support, the thermal insulation panels are applied. A single layer of suitable thickness, preferably The panels shall be of extruded polystyrene, XPS, ChovAFOAM 300 M. Panels will be applied between battens and may be loose on the membrane, adhered to it or with fixations, if they can be displaced by wind or other actions. Fix or protect before the end of the day, from wind effects. Cover or protect from the sun, as soon as possible. - INSULATING FOR ROOFS WITH LIGHT PROTECTION: - Inverted roof is not admissible. In any type, flat or sloping. - FLAT ROOF. Light or heavy protection STANDARD ROOF. The application shall be such that the insulation panels are placed on resistant support, preferably without having formed slopes. On the panels a separating layer type GEOFIM 150 or higher will be applied. On it, will apply a layer of mortar, which may include slope formation. This layer will have the suitable thickness and consistency for the subsequent transit of the operators even in the usual work. Finally, the foreseen waterproofing membrane will be applied, and the corresponding heavy protection layers. - SLOPING ROOFS. Light or heavy protection The application shall be such that the insulation panels are placed on resistant support. Panels will be fixed to the support. Above them, will apply a mortar/concrete layer, preferably armed. This layer will have the suitable thickness and consistency for the subsequent transit of the operators even in the usual work. Furthermore, it must be checked the entire self-sustaining system. Page 6 of 7

THERMAL INSULATION IN FLOORS AND FOUNDATIONS.- Although common types are: ChovAFOAM 250 S, the ChovAFOAM 300 M, can substitute them, as they have equivalent and superior Compressive Strength features. GENERALITIES: ISOLATION LAYER IMPLEMENTATION AND HEAVY PROTECTION APPLICATION - Store the packages under cover from the weather. On the roof, keep XPS panels in their original packaging until use. Also protect from wind effects. - Cover or protect them before the end of the day, from the sun and wind effects. Both after application and even stored on the roof outside the usual packaging. - In bad weather conditions, do not apply insulation layers, separators, etc. (Or protect immediately when changes in starting conditions). - To prevent adhesion between the membrane and the XPS layer in inverted roof, you should use a separating layer, a geotextile GEOFIM 150 or higher is recommended. - Above XPS layer, a separating layer will be applied, according to its use and heavy protection type, should be: separating; separating and antipunching; separating and filtering, etc. Could be GEOFIM PP or GEOFIM, high basis weight. - The application of the heavy protection should be performed as soon as possible, preferably before the end of the day. (Or apply the proper ballast, depending on the weather forecast). - In roofs you should check that the protective layers made a sufficient ballast effect to protect from wind effects. - The protection elements must be placed with joints between them to allow the evacuation of water and the materials free expansion. - We should make a subsequent maintenance of the roof, in the foreseen periods by the regulations or in the CTE. SAFETY CONDITIONS. Regarding the safety and health during the execution of the works, shall apply the provisions of the legislation in relation to the prevention of occupational risks. Personnel performing the isolating system should know the risks involved in their implementation and the correct component units of the work laying method, all within the overall regulatory framework for health and safety that is bound the general contractor of the work. All solutions above, the application conditions and comments are set to: - DR of CTE, CEC, Constructive Elements Catalogue, and - UNE 92325:2012 IN Thermal insulation products in buildings. Control installation. - Standard UNE 104401: 2013, Waterproofing in building above and below ground level, with modified bituminous sheets. Systems and application. "( AENOR Document) - DIT Nº 578/11: POLITABER slope ZERO. The insulation layers are a constitutive element of work. The solutions are responsibility of the project, although the information is intended to describe the usual conditions of product use. As for commissioning work also must satisfy the insulating layer implementation requirements. Provided information is taken from the current regulations. Page 7 of 7
