DIRECTIONS FOR USE It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Follow all applicable directions, restrictions, and precautions including statements pertaining to the Worker Protection Standards, on the EPA-registered Dual Magnum label. This labeling must be in the possession of the user at the time of pesticide application. Dual Magnum will not control emerged weeds. For effective weed control, Dual Magnum must be applied before weeds emerge. Do not use adjuvants when applying Dual Magnum to crops on this supplemental label. Ground Water and Surface Water Advisory Metolachlor has been identified in limited sampling of ground water and there is the possibility that it may leach through the soil to ground water that may be used for drinking water, especially where soils are coarse and ground water is near the surface. Following application and during rainfall events that cause runoff, metolachlor may reach surface water bodies including streams, rivers, and reservoirs which may also be used as sources of drinking water. Do not mix and load products within 50 feet of wells. Maintain well structures properly. Abandoned wells should be sealed. Wells should be cased. Well heads should be covered. Page 2 of 7

Specific Crop Use Directions ASPARAGUS Apply a single broadcast treatment of Dual Magnum at 1.33-2.0 pts./a to dormant established asparagus beds in the spring, prior to asparagus emergence. In that rate range, use lower rates on soils relatively coarse-textured and higher rates on fine-textured soils. A band application may also be used, applying proportionally less spray mixture on the area actually treated. Make uniform applications in a minimum of 15 gallons of water per treated acre. Dual Magnum will not control emerged weeds. Control emerged weeds with an appropriate registered foliar herbicide or by mechanical or physical means. Restrictions: (1) Make only one application per crop and not more than 2.0 pt/a per crop per year. (2) Do not harvest asparagus within 16 days of the Dual Magnum application Note: Applications of Dual Magnum may cause significant injury to asparagus resulting in reduced yields. This product is available to the end user/grower solely to the extent that the benefit and utility, in the opinion of the end user/grower, outweigh the extent of potential injury associated with the use of this product. Due to the risk of crop damage, all such use is at the end user/grower s risk. CABBAGE Transplanted Cabbage Apply Dual Magnum as a surface broadcast application with ground application equipment prior to transplanting or as a broadcast application within 48 hours after transplanting. Use 0.50 to 1.33 pints (0.48 to 1.27 lb. a.i.) per acre according to soil type in a minimum of 10 gallons of water per acre. Use the lower rate on soils that are relatively coarse-textured or low in organic matter; use the higher rate on soils that are relatively fine-textured or high in organic matter. Directed-Seeded Cabbage Apply Dual Magnum as a broadcast postemergence spray to directseeded, tight-headed cabbage, after cabbage has 4 leaves, at rates from 0.50 to 1.33 pints (0.48 to 1.27 lb. a.i.) per acre according to soil type in a minimum of 10 gallons of water per acre. Application must be made preemergence to weeds following clean cultivation. Dual Magnum will not control emerged weeds. Use the lower rate on soils relatively coarse-textured or low in organic matter; use the higher rate on soils relatively fine-textured or high in organic matter. Precautions: (1) Chinese varieties are more sensitive to injury from Dual Magnum. (2) To minimize the risk of crop injury following post-emergence applications, apply as a post-directed spray (to minimize contact with the crop foliage). (3) Crop maturity may be delayed. (4) Use of Goal and Dual Magnum on the same crop may increase initial injury and lead to further delay in maturity. (5) Weed control may be reduced on muck soils. Page 3 of 7

Restrictions: (1) Make only one application of Dual Magnum per growing season. (2) Do not apply within 50 days of harvest. (3) Do not apply to direct-seeded cabbage prior to the time they are in the 4-leaf stage. (4) Do not incorporate. (5) Do not apply this product through any irrigation system. Where reference is made to weeds partially controlled, partial control can either mean erratic control from good to poor, or consistent control at a level below that which is generally considered acceptable for commercial weed control. Note: To avoid crop injury, (1) Do not use as an over-the-top application, (2) Do not use as a band treatment after transplanting, (3) Do not apply Dual Magnum in areas where irrigation water is likely to "pond" over the bed. CARROTS Note: For use on high organic matter (>20%) muck soils only. Apply a single broadcast treatment of Dual Magnum at 1.33-2.0 pts./a to the soil surface after planting, but before weeds or crop emerge (i.e., preemergence). Restrictions: (1) Make only one application per crop and do not apply more than 2.0 pt/a of Dual Magnum per crop per year (2) Do not harvest within 64 days of application. Precautions: To avoid crop injury, do not apply Dual Magnum on soils with less than 20% organic matter, or in areas where water is likely to "pond". To avoid concentration in the seed furrow, do not make broadcast applications of Dual Magnum to carrots planted in furrows more than 2 inches deep. Band applications may be made to carrots planted in furrows deeper than 2 inches, but the band width should not exceed the width of the bottom of the furrow. Additional Note: Applications of Dual Magnum may cause significant injury to carrots resulting in reduced yields. This product is available to the end user/grower solely to the extent that the benefit and utility, in the opinion of the end user/grower, outweigh the extent of potential injury associated with the use of this product. Due to the risk of crop damage, all such use is at the end user/grower s risk. DRY BULB ONIONS For control of grass and broadleaf weeds (see Weeds Controlled on the Dual Magnum label), apply Dual Magnum at the two true leaf stage of onions at rates of 0.67-1.3 pints (0.64-1.27 lbs. active) per acre, depending on soil type. Use the lower rate on light, sandy soils. On soils with organic matter content greater than 5%, one additional treatment may be applied three to four weeks after the first treatment, if needed. Precautions: (1) In general, the risk of crop injury is greater on lighter textured soils and with higher application rates. (2) The addition of another registered herbicide as a tank mixture with Dual MAGNUM will increase the risk of crop injury. Page 4 of 7

Restrictions: (1) Make no more than two applications of Dual MAGNUM per crop. (2) Apply not more than 1.3 pt./a in a single application and not more than 2.6 pt./a per crop. (3)The Dual MAGNUM applications cannot be less than 21 days apart. (4) Do not harvest onions within 60 days of the Dual MAGNUM application. (5) The harvest of green onions for and the grazing of animals on green forage or stubble are prohibited. (6) Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system. GREEN ONIONS Apply a broadcast application of Dual Magnum at 0.67-1.33 pts./a postemergence starting at the two true-leaf stage of the green onions. In that rate range, use lower rates on soils relatively coarsetextured and higher rates on fine-textured soils. Precautions: (1) There is risk of crop injury from the use of Dual Magnum on green onions. In general, the risk of crop injury is greater on lighter textured soils and with higher application rates. (2) The addition of another registered herbicide as a tank mixture with Dual Magnum will increase the risk of crop injury. Restrictions: (1) Make only one application per crop and do not apply more than 1.33 pt/a per season. (2) Do not harvest within 21 days of application. Note: Applications of Dual Magnum may cause significant injury to green onions resulting in reduced yields. This product is available to the end user/grower solely to the extent that the benefit and utility, in the opinion of the end user/grower, outweigh the extent of potential injury associated with the use of this product. Due to the risk of crop damage, all such use is at the end user/grower s risk. HIGHBUSH BLUEBERRY Apply Dual Magnum as a banded treatment to both sides of the blueberry row at 0.67 1.3 pts/a (0.64 1.26 lb ai/a) prior to weed emergence. The application should be directed to the soil surface in a 3 foot band on each side of the blueberry row to avoid direct contact with the crop foliage or crop injury may occur. When making the banded treatment, apply proportionally less spray mixture on the area actually treated. Use the lower end of the Dual Magnum rate range for soils that are relatively coarse textured and higher rates on fine textured soils. Precautions: (1) Dual Magnum will not control emerged weeds. Control emerged weeds with an appropriate registered foliar herbicide or by mechanical or physical means. (2) Not all blueberry cultivars have been tested so injury may occur on some types of blueberry. Growers are encouraged to treat a few plants as a test and evaluate crop injury. (3) The risk of crop injury from Dual Magnum is greater at the higher use rates. (4) Blueberry plants that have been established for less than one year may be more sensitive to applications of Dual Magnum than those plants established for more than one year. For this reason, the lower rates are suggested on newer plantings. (5) Tank mixing Dual Magnum with other products (pesticides, adjuvants, etc.) will increase the risk for foliar crop injury. Restrictions: (1) Do not make more than one application per crop per season. (2) Do not apply more than 1.3 pts/a (1.27 lb ai/a) of Dual Magnum per crop per season. (3) Do not harvest for 28 days following the Dual Magnum application. (4) Do not use on lowbush blueberry. Page 5 of 7

LEEK Apply Dual Magnum at a rate of 0.67 1.33 pt./a to leek at the 2 leaf stage, but before weeds emerge. Use lower rates on soils relatively coarse-textured and higher rates on fine-textured or muck soils. Dual Magnum will not control emerged weeds. Control emerged weeds with an appropriate registered foliar herbicide or by mechanical or physical means. Precautions: (1) In general, the risk of crop injury is greater on lighter textured soils and with higher application rates. (2) The addition of another registered herbicide as a tank mixture with Dual Magnum, will increase the risk of crop injury. Restrictions: (1) Make only one application and apply not more than 1.33 pts/a (1.27 lb ai/a) per crop per season. (2) For leek, do not use on coarse-textured soils with less than 1% OM. (3) Do not harvest within 21 days of the Dual Magnum application. TRANSPLANTED PEPPERS: BELL PEPPERS, CHILI PEPPERS, CUBANELLE PEPPERS Bedded peppers, with plastic mulch: Dual Magnum may be applied as a pre-plant non-incorporated spray with ground application equipment to the top of the pressed, preformed bed as the last step immediately prior to laying the plastic. Insure plastic laying process does not incorporate the herbicide applied to the top of the preformed bed. Use 0.50 to 1.33 pints per treated acre (0.48 to 1.27 lb a.i./a) according to soil type in 20-40 gallons of water per acre. Use the lower rate for relatively coarse textured soils or low in organic matter and the higher rate for relatively fine textured soils or high in organic matter (See product label for more specific information on soil texture). Dual Magnum may also be applied with ground application equipment to the row middles, between plastic rows, if this area will not be otherwise treated. Direct or shield this application if necessary to avoid contact with the pepper plants and to avoid treating the plastic surface. Bedded or non-bedded peppers without plastic, pre-transplant application: Apply 0.5 to 1.33 pt./a of Dual Magnum according to soil type with ground application equipment in 20 to 40 gallons of water as a pre-emergence broadcast surface application immediately prior to transplanting. Apply Dual Magnum to soil surface after raised beds are prepared. Use the lower rate for relatively coarse textured soils or low in organic matter and the higher rate for relatively fine textured soils or high in organic matter (See product label for more specific information on soil texture). Bedded or non-bedded peppers without plastic, post-transplant application: Apply 0.5 to 1.33 pt./a of Dual Magnum according to soil type with ground application equipment in 20 to 40 gallons of water as a post-directed spray to the surface of clean tilled soil after transplanted peppers have recovered from transplant shock. Use the lower rate for relatively coarse textured soils or low in organic matter and the higher rate for relatively fine textured soils or high in organic matter (See product label for more specific information on soil texture). Precautions: To avoid crop injury (1) Do not use as an over-the-top application. (2) Do not use as a band treatment after transplanting. (3) Do not incorporate (4) Do not apply before forming raised beds or bedding soils. (5) Do not apply Dual Magnum in areas where irrigation water is likely to "pond" over the bed. Page 6 of 7

Restrictions: (1) Make only one application of Dual MAGNUM per crop. (2) Do not apply more than 1.3 pt/a of Dual MAGNUM per crop. (3) Do not harvest peppers within 60 days of the Dual MAGNUM application. (4) Do not apply this product through any irrigation system. (5) Do not apply aerially. (6) Do not apply to direct seeded peppers. SPINACH Apply Dual Magnum at a rate of 0.33 0.67 pt./a (0.32-0.64 lb a.i./a s-metolachlor)as a preemergence surface broadcast application. Apply in at least 15 gallons of water per acre with ground equipment. Use lower rates on coarse textured soils, and higher rates on medium or fine-textured soils. (See product label for more specific information on soil texture). Not recommended on muck soils due to probable poor weed control. For irrigated spinach: Irrigate with sprinkler or by furrow irrigation within two days of Dual Magnum application. Restrictions: (1) Do not incorporate. (2) Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system. (3) Only one application of Dual Magnum permitted per spinach growing season on the same ground in one calendar year. (4) Do not exceed more than 0.67 pt/a Dual Magnum. (5) Do not harvest within 50 days of application. SWISS CHARD Apply a single broadcast treatment of Dual Magnum at 0.5 to 1.0 pt./a to the soil surface after planting, but before weeds or crop emerge (i.e., preemergence). In that rate range, use lower rates on soils relatively coarse-textured and higher rates on fine-textured soils. A band application may also be used, applying proportionally less spray mixture on the area actually treated. Dual Magnum will not control emerged weeds. Control emerged weeds with an appropriate registered foliar herbicide or by mechanical or physical means. Restrictions: (1) Make only one application of Dual Magnum per crop. (2) Do not apply more than 1.0 pt/a of Dual Magnum per crop (3) Do not harvest within 62 days of the Dual Magnum application (4) At application, do not exceed 40 psi spray nozzle pressure. (2) Do not apply when temperatures exceed 85 F. (5) Do not apply as a tank mixture with nitrogen or fertilizer solutions, or other pesticides, as injury to the crop may result. (6) Do not flood or sprinkler irrigate immediately following application. Note: Applications of Dual Magnum may cause significant injury to Swiss chard resulting in reduced yields. This product is available to the end user/grower solely to the extent that the benefit and utility, in the opinion of the end user/grower, outweigh the extent of potential injury associated with the use of this product. Due to the risk of crop damage, all such use is at the end user/grower s risk.
