KEY DATA This course syllabus should be used to determine whether the course is appropriate for the students based on their current skill and functional training needs. The course is functional in nature and includes hands-on labs. Technical discussions and material is not included in this course delivery. Format: Instructor led training (ILT) Number of days: 4 This course is eligible for 28 CPE credits in the Computer Science field of study. LOOK AND FEEL This four-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skill to use and navigate the Warehouse management and Transportation management modules in Microsoft Dynamics AX. The course is designed to build upon itself and provide a case study for implementation of the Warehouse and Transportation Management modules. AUDIENCE This course is intended for business roles that need to configure and use the features in Warehouse and Transportation management. PREREQUISITES Students Students attending this section of the course should have a basic understanding of: General knowledge of Microsoft Windows Basic knowledge of Dynamics AX navigation Taken the Supply Chain Essentials course and have a working knowledge of how purchase orders, sales orders, and warehouse management flows function in AX. Environment If the training will be conducted in Denver at the RSM office, the requirements listed below will be provided by RSM. Proprietary and Confidential Page 3 of 14 2016

Before the beginning of the first lesson the following materials and equipment will be required: A LCD Projector* Projection screen/surface A white board or Flip chart stand/paper (optional) Each attendee will need a Laptop/PC with the following available: Internet connection A VPN connection to RSM (The connection information will be provided by the trainer upon the first day of training). RSM Technology Academy hosts the training images on a local server in our Denver offices. The VPN connection is required for the participants to connect to the Hyper-V training image. * The instructor can provide a projector if one is not available upon request only. COURSE OUTLINE Module 1: Warehouse Layout This module introduces the Warehouse management module in Microsoft Dynamics AX and describes the elements required for configuring a new warehouse. Create zones and zone groups. Create locations manually and by using the wizard. Module 2: General Warehouse and Product Setup This module introduces the setup and configuration that is a prerequisite for configuring items to be used with warehouse management. Module 14: Cross-docking This topic describes how to use cross-docking in Warehouse management to move packages of products through a warehouse while using limited or no storage. Crossdocking is useful if you purchase products from different vendors, the vendors prepack cartons that contain a mix of products or product variants, and you want distribute the cartons to one or more retail stores. We will go through batch orders and Kanban orders and see how the basic fundamentals that we ve learned throughout this course apply to manufacturing.
