1 SCOPE This document provides recommendations on how to describe the accreditation scope of certification bodies certifying quality management system, environmental management system, food safety management system, occupational health and safety management system, and information safety management system. The document shall be applied when defining accreditation scopes of applicants for accreditation and on the occasion of assessment performed by the Accreditation Body of Serbia. In case of all activities performed within the defined accreditation scope applicants for accreditation must have documented procedures in place and they must prove their members of the staff to be trained and competent. Purpose of the scope of accreditation is to: (1) define fields of activities of certification body certifying management system to be confirmed by the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS); (2) enable clients to gain an insight into possible certification to be performed by accredited certification bodies. 2 REFERENCE DOCUMENTS SRPS ISO/IEC 17021: 2007, Conformity Assessment - Requirements for Bodies Providing Audit and Certification of Management Systems ISO/TS 22003:20007, Food Safety Management Systems Requirements for Bodies Providing Audit and Certification of Food Safety Management Sistems EA-3/11:2009, Food Safety Management Systems Scope of Accreditation REGULATION (EC) No 1893/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 establishing the statistical classification of economic activities NACE Revision 2 and amending Council Regulation (EEC) No 3037/90 as well as certain EC Regulations on specific statistical domains. 3 TERMS, DEFINITIONS AND ABBREVIATIONS In addition to the terms laid down in the said reference documents, the following terms shall be used and have the following meaning: Accreditation scope of certification body certifying management system Management system certification activities for which a certification body certifying management systems seeks accreditation or is granted accreditation. Accreditation scope of certification bodies certifying management system shall contain necessary elements to uniformly define management system certification activities. Identification of activity category, i.e. statistics classified sector according to economic activities from the Regulation referred to under 4), Section 2 of this document. Identification of food chain categories No from the Regulation referred to under 4), Section 2 of this document, presented as X (X can range from 1 to 39). Letter-based identification of categories ranging from A to M, i.e. food chain technical areas as per the classification from Annex A from the Regulation referred to under 4), Section 2 of this document. 4 ACCREDITATION SCOPE DESCRIPTION ELEMENTS OF CERTIFICATION BODIES CERTIFYING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM a. Accreditation Scope Accreditation scope shall be described in the Scope of Accreditation that is an integral part of the Accreditation Certificate in the form of a short description of accreditation scope and a detailed one. A short description of accreditation scope shall include the type of management system and a document containing requirements for the certification of management system. In case of each type of management system certification a detailed accreditation scope shall be described by stating the locations (branches, sub-branches, etc.) to which accreditation refers, name and identification of the document containing requirements for the certification of management system, and identifications and names of technical areas in which certification of management system is carried out. b. Technical Areas In case of certification of quality management system, environmental management system, food safety management system, and occupational health and safety management system, technical areas, i.e. activity areas, are classified in accordance with the reference documents referred to Section 2 of this document, and are used to describe the accreditation scope.
