E-mail Address: hilarys@unops.org; cc. iuliat@unops.org Posting date: 29 May 2014 DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS I) INTRODUCTION: In this RFI, the United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) intends to identify potential suppliers and to gather ideas from industry for the supply of advertisement services for a campaign to highlight the support the European Union is providing for the clearance of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and mines in South Sudan. In order to reach a European audience the United Nations Mine Action Service (hereinafter referred to as UNMAS) wanted to advertise the support through advertisements on busses in several European cities (Brussels, Paris, London, and Berlin). II) PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to acquire information regarding options, cost savings, and improvements that are available in the marketplace for the provision of services for advertisement public buses in several European cities (Brussels, Paris, London, and Berlin). It is anticipated, but not guaranteed, that the UN may use the information received from this RFI to develop a future solicitation for these items. This RFI will serve to conduct market research to identify firms capable of providing solutions for the above stated requirement. This market research shall be conducted at NO COST TO THE UNITED NATIONS. Suppliers may be requested, as part of this RFI, to present to UNOPS their product. This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI), not a solicitation for offers, and accordingly, no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. There is no solicitation available at this time. Industry responses, as a result of this announcement, shall focus on providing recommendations for the requirements as detailed in the attached Specific Requirements Document. Information provided in the RFI may be used by UNOPS in acquisition documents. UNOPS appreciates your assistance with this market research and emphasizes that this effort is for planning purposes only. II) SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION Specific requirements: UNMAS will provide the image to be used to the contractor for the campaign The advertisements must be in portrait format, the size should be no bigger than 50 cm wide and 100 cm tall The advertisements must be placed inside buses and bus stops only The presentation of the advertisements is up to the discretion of the contractor in consultation with UNOPS Contractor must print and place the advertisements on the buses and in bus stops No need for any particular bus routes, but the campaign must run inside the cities of Berlin, Brussels, London and/or Paris only. Contractors may propose one city or as many cities as they like for the services The advertisements must run on more than one bus and one route in the selected city/cities The expected duration of the advertisements would be one month delivery time no later than September. III) QUESTIONS FOR SUPPLIERS Companies with the capability of providing the required items, as described above, with the necessary resources to fulfill the requirements are invited to submit, on a voluntary basis, in writing, information that addresses the following items.
