It is known to be harmful if swallowed & very severe eye irritant. Consumer: For the substance 2,2 -(cyclohexylimino)diethanol, no consumer use is identified and supported. Workers: The substance 2,2 -(cyclohexylimino)diethanol is manufactured in closed process, where only little potential exists for exposure of workers. It is used under well controlled conditions by workers in industrial settings & professional settings. All exposure scenarios are assessed as safe regarding worker exposure. The risk management measures listed for protection of workers and the environment are implemented as described during the manufacture and loading processes at their production site. The risk management measures for this product are communicated to downstream users by means of a safety data sheet. Effect Assessment Acute Toxicity (Oral) Irritant effect on skin Irritant effect on eye Sensitisation Toxicity after repeated exposure Genotoxicity / Mutagenicity Results Harmful if swallowed Corrosive to skin Very severe eye irritant Based on available date not sensitizing for skin Danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure if swallowed. Based on available data not mutagenic / genotoxic Page 2 of 6

Carcinogenicity Toxicity for reproduction Not considered as carcinogenic based on available data Not to be classified as a reprotoxicant ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS The substance 2,2 -(cyclohexylimino)diethanol is classified as harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Furthermore the substance is evaluated to be not PBT (persistent, bioaccumulative, toxic) or vpvb (very persistent, very bioaccumulative). Effect Assessment Aquatic toxicity (fish, algae, daphnia and microorganisms) Fate and Behaviour Biodegradation Bioaccumulation potential PBT / vpvb conclusion Results No environmental classification is proposed since no (adverse) effects are expected for aquatic organisms as per CLP/GHS Results Not readily biodegradable No bioaccumulation potential The substance is not a PBT/vPvB substance EXPOSURE Human Health : The substance 2,2 -(cyclohexylimino)diethanol is corrosive & classified as Dangerous & is known to be harmful if swallowed & very severe eye irritant. Exposure to the substance Octopirox of personnel in manufacturing facilities is considered very low because the process, storage and handling operations are under industrial hygiene considerations and occupational safety measures. Workers who might accidentally come in contact with the substance should follow the safety measures recommended in the Safety Data Sheet. Environment : The substance 2,2 -(cyclohexylimino)diethanol is not classified as dangerous according to the criteria of the Dangerous Substances Directive (67/548/EEC) or the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP Regulation; 1272/2008/EC), no exposure assessment and risk characterisation has to be performed. Furthermore the substance is evaluated to be not PBT (persistent, bioaccumulative, toxic) or vpvb (very persistent, very bioaccumulative).. RISK MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS The substance 2,2 -(cyclohexylimino)diethanol is corrosive & classified as Dangerous & is known to be harmful if swallowed & very severe eye irritant, according to the criteria of the Dangerous Substances Directive (67/548/EEC) or the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP Regulation; 1272/2008/EC). Specific Risk Management Measures are therefore required. Do not ingest. If swallowed then seek immediate medical assistance. Avoid manual contact with wet work pieces. Avoid direct eye contact with product, also via contamination on hands. Provide a good standard of general ventilation (not less than 3 to 5 air changes per hour).control any potential exposure using measures such as contained or enclosed systems, properly designed and maintained facilities and a good standard of general ventilation. Drain down systems and transfer lines prior to Page 3 of 6

breaking containment. Drain down and flush equipment where possible prior to maintenance. Where there is potential for exposure: Ensure relevant staff are informed of the nature of exposure and aware of basic actions to minimise exposures; ensure suitable personal protective equipment is available; clear up spills and dispose of waste in accordance with regulatory requirements; monitor effectiveness of control measures; consider the need for health surveillance; identify and implement corrective actions. Whenever exposure is possible, wear chemically resistant gloves in combination with specific activity training. Use suitable eye protection.
