Advert xams and Data Officer Grade M - 20,566 to 23,555 Teachers Main Pay Range 1-3 - 22,467 to 26,192 Term-time only including PD days plus 1 week We require an organised and enthusiastic individual to manage the examination function in our busy school. This post would provide a new challenge for those with previous experience in examinations or a Teacher who wishes to use their professional knowledge in a different role. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all internal and external examinations are effectively planned, organised and managed in line with statutory requirements and good practice guidance. In addition, you will assist the Trust Data Manager in recording, reporting and analysing pupil performance and assessment data. The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification at Level 3 or above and have numeracy and literacy skills supported by a level 2 qualification. Teacher applicants will have QTS and have successfully completed their NQT year. In addition you must have at least two years recent relevant experience gained within an educational setting at secondary level or above and have detailed knowledge of examination regulations and processes. You will have well developed organisational skills, excellent ICT skills including the use of spreadsheets and experience of using SIMS and be able to effectively communicate with staff and pupils. To assist with the recording, reporting and analysing of assessment data across the school. To provide full class cover and specific and targeted intervention to pupils not making expected progress (Qualified teachers only) To liaise with relevant Teaching staff to ensure that accurate and complete examination entries have been met in line with school and xam Board deadlines To create timetables for internal and external exams including dates and times, number of entrants, rooming, invigilation arrangements, etc. To prepare examination room seating plans and ensure these are communicated effectively to Invigilators To ensure individual pupil exam timetables are prepared accurately and distributed in a timely manner To make appropriate invigilation arrangements including contacting invigilators and ensuring their working time is accurately recorded for payroll purposes To ensure that invigilators are appropriately trained and briefed so they understand their role and the relevant examination regulations To liaise with relevant staff regarding candidates with SN and ensuring appropriate access arrangements are in place To manage all examination rooms during exam periods and ensure all appropriate arrangements have been made including the set up of rooms, display of required signage, provision of relevant equipment, direction of invigilators, distribution of exam papers, guidance of pupils, etc. To receive and sort examination papers and ensure they are stored securely and confidentially Continued on next page

Data Management Working with the Trust Data Manager, to analyse School data, including reviewing pupil progress, progress of specific groups and examination results To ensure all data tracking systems, including School trackers, transition matrices and mechanisms for tracking specific groups of pupils are relevant, accurate and up to date To produce data analysis and reports when requested by the Trust Data Manager and other senior staff To assist the Trust Data Manager with the production and submission of statutory returns including the School Census To analyse pupil examination results on results day and produce reports for senior staff To check, print and distribute termly pupil performance reports Cover and Intervention (Qualified Teachers only) Time spent providing cover and intervention will be organised and monitored to ensure these activities do not interfere with the efficient discharge of xamination duties and responsibilities To provide full-class cover during the short-term absence of the class teacher To deliver specific and targeted intervention to pupils are not making expected progress in all year groups, supporting pupils with SN as appropriate Continued on next page
