Introduction Welcome to the The is a web site hosted by Assurant Group to provide our clients with regular course of business information via the Internet. The Client Report Center is an ebusiness solution partnered between Assurant Group and our clients. This partnership will look to identify and provide solutions that address both current and future information needs. Assurant Group has chosen the Actuate product, version 4.1, as the reporting tool for the. Benefits of the tool include:! the application s scalable architecture,! the ability to access the application via any Internet browser;! the ability to view and print the requested information quickly;! and the ability to save the obtained information in a PDF file format. Please contact your Client Relationship Manager or Sales Representative with any questions and/or feedback you may have related to the and/or your reports. It is our hope that the will make it easier for you, our client, to obtain the critical information you need. 3

Accessing You will access through Assurant Group s home page. To do so: " Enter this address on your web browser s address line: " www.assurant.com # Press Enter. The Assurant Group home page will appear. $ Click Clients. This will open another page with a list of available applications. % Click. $ 4

Terms of Use The first screen you will see is our Terms of Use Agreement. Please read this document carefully. If you agree with the terms, as outlined in this document:! Click I Accept. This will take you to the CRC login screen. If you do not agree with the terms, as outlined in this document: " Click I Decline. This will take you back to Assurant s home page and access to the application will not be granted.! " 5

Login To login, follow these steps: " Type your user name, then press Tab. # Type your password. $ Click OK or press Enter. s Enter " # $ The password is case sensitive. 6

Screen components The CRC home page consists of these components: Link to Assurant Group s web site current date Menu selection List of reports 8

Views There are three Report views to choose from. Report Name This view sorts all reports alphabetically by name. Each report type contains an arrow. When clicked, all reports with that particular name will be displayed. With this view, you will see the report name followed by the SAR name in parenthesis. Listed below, each report will be sorted by creation date with the most current report listed first. Creation Date View This view contains subheadings by month. Within each month, reports are sorted by their creation date, with the most recent report listed first. will always have four months of reports available to you. For reports older than 4 months, please contact your Client Relationship Manager er. Januar uary reports are created in February. Therefore, they will have February creation dates. 9

Report Type This view sorts reports by type. Within each type, reports are listed by name in creation date order. If you click the Detail link within any of the three views, you ll get this screen which provides general information on the report such as type, size, modified and created date. Should you have any technical issues, you may be asked to provide this information to the Help Desk. 10

Help The Help screen provides basic information needed to obtain assistance via on-line documentation, phone or email. You will need to use Acrobat Reader in order to print your reports. For your convenience, we have provided you with a link to download a free copy of Acrobat Reader. 11

Terms of Use Button If you need to refer to the Terms of Use once you are within the Client Report Center, click the Terms of Use button: 12

Accessing Reports To view a report in the Client Report Center: " Click the link for the report you wish to view. # A second browser window will appear containing the report. " # The browser window will not open full screen. Do not click the Maximize button until the entire report has loaded. Click your browser wser s s refresh button if the screen is not completely drawn. 13

Using the NavBar The NavBar is used to display your account numbers.!! Click the NavBar button. A panel will open along the left side of the report displaying your account numbers. 1234987 9887666 If you click on an account number, you will go to the first page for that number within the report. 15

Printing a Report Printing reports will be done through Acrobat Reader not the web browser. Therefore, in order to print your report, you ll need to open it as a PDF document. To do so: " " Click the Download/Print button. A Save/Print dialog box will appear. # Choose the page range you want to open. In this example, we chose Current Page. $ Click Continue. # $ 16

Next, you will see a File Download dialog box appear.! Click the Open this file from its current location radio button if it is not already selected. " Click OK.! " Acrobat Reader will automatically open with your report displayed: 17

Printing Files in Acrobat Reader Once the file is open, you can print by following these steps:!! Click the Print icon on your toolbar. The Print dialog box will appear. " Select the Print Range. Printing options include printing the entire document, the current page or a specific page range. You will only be able to select from the pages you originally elected to download. If you want to have access to the entire report in Acrobat Reader, you will need to download the entire report. " # Click OK. # 18

Saving a Report If you would like to save your report as a PDF document, follow these steps:!! Click the Download/Print button. A Save/Print dialog box will appear. " Choose the page range you want to save. In this example, we chose Current Page. # Click Continue. " # 19

Next, you ll see a File Download dialog box appear. % Click the Save this file to disk radio button if its not already selected. & Click OK. The Save As dialog box will appear with the name of the report already in the File Name field. You may want to change the file name to better help you identify the file later. % ' Choose the drive and/or directory where you want to save the file. & ( Click Save. ' ( 20

Opening a PDF document Once you save the report as a PDF document, you can open it at any time in Acrobat Reader, or you can email this file to another user. " Follow these steps for opening your file: " Once you ve opened Acrobat Reader, activate the File menu and click Open... The Open dialog box will appear. # Select the drive and/or directory where the file is saved. $ Select the file. % Click Open. # $ To email the file to another user, simply attach it in the text portion of your email window and send it. % 21

The report will open: Navigating in Acrobat Reader Once you ve opened a file within Acrobat Reader the toolbar will be accessible to you. The toolbar below has been labeled to help identify the tools you can use while viewing your report. Using Find in Acrobat Reader To quickly search for a word or phase, use Acrobat Reader s Find feature. To do so: " Click the Find icon. The Find window will appear. # Enter the word or phrase you want to search for. $ Click Find. You ll be taken to the first match found. The word that you entered in the Find window will be highlighted. Continue clicking the Find icon until you get to the match you want. # $ " 23
