INNOVATIVE PROJECTS OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA In February, 2017, the University of Bologna has launched a call to promote the international cooperation with extra-ue Universities where bilateral agreements were already active The Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences applied and the projects has been selected The project was based on the existing agreement with the University of El Manar (Tunis)

West Nile Disease: Comparing experiences between Italy and Tunisia Aims: Exchange experience on West Nile Disease epidemiology between the two countries Compare the current strategies adopted to prevent the disease and evaluate the main measures for the future Organise a workshop involving IRVT, OIE, UNIBO, ENMV and others

The evolution of the project Re-emerging zoonoses in the Mediterranean basin. West Nile Disease: Comparing experiences between Italy and Tunis The preliminary visit in Tunis (October 2017), beyond the opportunity to meet our partners and to organize the meeting, lay the bases for future cooperation in education The expected product of this project is the creation of an interdisciplinary and international network of experts in the field of public health in the Mediterranean basin Organization and management of training activities, as Summer School / Winter School, International Master Degrees in our and near countries Mobility and exchange PhD students and Researchers

West Nile Disease: Comparing experiences between Italy and Tunisia Besides the meeting, declared goal of the project is: The project should be regarded as a starting point for the promotion of further joint training events directed towards "One Health medical and veterinarian professionals on increasingly urgent issues in the Mediterranean area.
